The blue coloration model of a closed pond, Ao-ike Pond, Aomori Prefecture, Japan, was formulated in terms of radiance by applying a theory of observation devices proposed by Szirmay-Kalos (2008) and Hanaishi’s reverse ray tracing method. In this model, three potential contributions to the coloration were considered; irregular reflection at the Lambertian pond bottom, density fluctuation scattering by water, and Mie scattering by suspended solids. By utilizing model formulas for these mechanisms, some parameters were determined in order to duplicate the images of the pond surface without solar shading by tree leaves above the pond surface, in addition to the images with sunbeam trajectories by solar radiations passing through tree leaves, which are emitted from the water and visible on the surface. Simulating the pictures of the pond surface and the sun-beam-image analyses revealed that the blue colorations of Ao-ike Pond are mainly produced (1) by the density fluctuation scattering of water itself and the white Mie scattering by suspended solids and (2) by the red-light absorption by water in the optical paths before and after the two scatterings. Then, the density fluctuation scattering of water and the Mie scattering by suspended solids exhibited contributions of almost equal magnitude. The contribution of irregular reflections at the pond bottom was judged to be relatively small.

In this paper, we study the intersection (interaction) between several steady shocks traveling in the same direction. The interaction between overtaking shocks may be regular or irregular. In the case of regular reflection, the intersection of overtaking shocks leads to the formation of a resulting shock, contact discontinuity, and some reflected discontinuities. The type of discontinuity depends on the parameters of incoming shocks. At the irregular reflection, a Mach shock forms between incoming overtaking shocks. Reflected discontinuities come from the points of intersection of the Mach stem with the incoming shocks. We also consider the possible types of shockwave configurations that form both at regular and irregular interactions of several overtaking shocks. The regions of existence of overtaking shock waves with different types of reflected shock and the intensity of reflected shocks are defined. The results obtained in the study can potentially be useful for designing supersonic intakes and advanced jet engines.

To evaluate ocular manifestations in primary severe hypertension.: A retrospective chart review of 100 eyes of 50 patients in age group 45-60 years diagnosed with primary severe hypertension (systolic blood pressure [SBP] ≥ 180 mm Hg and diastolic blood pressure [DBP] ≥ 110 mm of Hg) in a tertiary hospital in 6 months from December 2018 to May 2019. Vision with evaluated with Snellen’s chart, fundus was examined with IDO, DO, +90D, +20 D lens and OCT was done.: Mean age were found to be 51 years ±9.8 under treatment for essential hypertension. Fundus findings included Arteriolar Narrowing (both Focal and Generalized arteriolar Narrowing), Hard Exudates, Cotton Wool Patches, Flame Shaped Haemorrhages, Optic disc edema, Disc haemorrhages. OCT findings included Macular Oedema, Irregular reflection, Sub Retinal Fluid, Inner Retinal Fluid, Hyper Reflective Dots.: This study can be used as an early diagnostic tool in hypertension. Severe hypertension may lead to may exudative changes. With Arteriolar Narrowing and Hyperreflective Dots within retina as the most common findings. Awareness should be spread regarding ophthalmological examination among patients so that timely measures can be initiated to stop the progression of disease.

The irregular reflection and transmission properties of innovative fenestration allow the redirection, selectively admittance, or blocking of solar irradiation based on its incident direction. Compared to systems that implement adaptivity by mechanical transformations, such tailored light scattering reduces the complexity of installation, operation, and maintenance as well as the impact on outward view and the aesthetical appearance of buildings. Examples of such fenestration techniques (e.g., light redirecting films and Venetian blinds featuring irregular reflection properties) are presented with their gonio-photometrically measured scattering properties. Techniques to model optically complex fenestration to support product development and planning are presented. Effects on daylight availability, glare, and solar gains are demonstrated. Preliminary results indicate the potential to control and modulate rather than to block irradiation through the design of buildings aiming at high comfort and energy efficiency.

<p><em>The meaning of "ethos" comes from Greek (ethos) which means character or character. Overall, the notion of ethos includes characteristics and attitudes, habits and beliefs, and so on, which are specific about an individual or group of people. From the words "ethos" will appear the words "ethics" and "ethical" which refer to the meaning of "morality / behavior" or are "morality", namely the essential quality of a person or a group, including a group of nations. It is also said that "ethos" means the distinctive soul of a group of people, which from that distinctive soul will develop the nation's view of good and bad, that is, its ethics.</em><em></em></p><p><em>Ahmad Janan Asifudin, citing In the Hand Book of Term Psycology stated that ethos is interpreted as a distinctive view of a social group, a value system that lies behind the customs and procedures of a community. Whereas, Taufiq Abdullah defines it as an evaluative aspect which is a self-assessment of work originating from self-identity which is a sacred value that is the religious spiritual reality that he believes.</em></p><p><em>Whereas the difference between ethos and ethics. The term ethics, theoretically can be divided into two senses. First, ethics comes from the Greek word ethos which means custom (character). In this sense, ethics is related to good life habits, both in oneself and in a society or community group that is passed on from one person to another or from one generation to another.</em></p><p><em>The definition of work, as in the Big Dictionary of Indonesian Language is interpreted as an activity of doing something. El-Qussy as quoted by Ahmad Janan Asifuddin argues that human activities or actions are of two types. First, actions that are related to mental activities, and both actions are done accidentally. The first type has a characteristic of interest, namely to achieve the purpose or realize certain goals.
