The aim of this study is to investigate the geochemical associations in the Plavica deposit in Republic of North Macedonia. The analyses of drill core samples from the detail exploration works were statistically processed to determine the groups of chemical elements with common spatial distributions. The resulting geochemical groups represent different stages of the ore forming hydrothermal processes. The main ore elements are represented by geochemical association of ([As, Sb, Au, Sn] Cu, Bi, Fe, Ag) which group outlines the ore bodies.

A new approach combining geochemical and mineralogical studies with statistical methods in the Babyak Mo-Ag-Au-W-Bi-base metal deposit is presented. The data are used for 3D geological modelling of the deposit and help to better understand the zonation of the elements and the complex geological evolution of the deposit.

The article presents the data from a comprehensive study of the Aksu Mo-porphyry system metasomatites (Korkodon-Nayakhan magmatic activation zone). The halo of metasomatic changes around the porphyry system, associated with the tectonic-block structure of the territory, is shown to be asymmetric. The core of the system is brought to the surface and located in a halo of kalifeldspar- muscovite metasomatites; the northwestern block is elevated and characterized by high-temperature epidote-biotite and epidote-pyroxene propylites, while in the southeastern block there is a consistent transition from kalifeldspar-sericite metasomatites to fragments of argillisite ones. The established zoning is confirmed by geochemical associations and mineralization types from the northwest to the southeast: in the northwest, Au-Bi (As, Cu) at the Solnechnoye ore occurrence; in the center, Mo (Cu, Au) at the Aksu deposit; in the southeast, Ag-Pb-Zn (Cu, Bi, As, Au) at the Vysokoye ore occurrence.

Objective: We studied the regional characteristics of soil pollution with heavy metals and other chemical elements, presented their comparative ecological and hygienic assessment. Materials and methods: We detected the content of 12 elements in the soils of urban agglomerations of the city of Kyiv (park, residential and transport zones), Donetsk oblast (Mariupol, Pisky etc.) and in the vicinity of the city of Halych (Ivano-Frankivsk oblast) with the help of the method of optical emission spectrometry. We studied the gross content of heavy metals in soils, determined their mobile forms, calculated the concentration coefficients and the indicator of the total soil cover pollution of urban agglomerations, established characteristic relationships between metals and their technogenic geochemical associations. Results and discussion: Among the analyzed chemical elements in soils of urban areas, the high content of Al, Mn and Crattracts a special attention. In the number of cases, it was higher than the MAC and the background level. The characteristic technogenic geochemical associations of heavy metals for studied territories were established: Cu > Cr > Pb > Zn > Ni > Mn. The mobility of heavy metals in technologically polluted soils increases in comparison with the background levels. Conclusion: A comparative assessment of soil pollution in the surveyed regions of Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Donetsk showed that they are under complex environmental pressure because of anthropogenic and technogenic environmental pollution with heavy metals.

The article presents the results of the assessment of the distribution of heavy metals content in anthropogenic transformed soils of the industrial zone of Moscow. Excesses of norms are shown, geochemical associations are obtained. The work proved to exceed the maximum permissible concentrations of cadmium, lead, copper, nickel, zinc, arsenic for eleven test sites per 13.95 hectares of industrial zone in 57% of the obtained empirical data on the content of pollutants in the soil. In the investigated area, the contents of lead, copper, nickel and zinc are not uniformly distributed and are within wide range. No excess of the norm was recorded for mercury. The isolation of two geochemical associations of manmade genesis is justified. One association includes cadmium lead, copper, and zinc with the system-forming element copper. The other consists of nickel and mercury.
