AbstractLet $X_{1}, X_{2}, \ldots , X_{n}$ X 1 , X 2 , … , X n be independent integral-valued random variables, and let $S_{n}=\sum_{j=1}^{n}X_{j}$ S n = ∑ j = 1 n X j . One of the interesting probabilities is the probability at a particular point, i.e., the density of $S_{n}$ S n . The theorem that gives the estimation of this probability is called the local limit theorem. This theorem can be useful in finance, biology, etc. Petrov (Sums of Independent Random Variables, 1975) gave the rate $O (\frac{1}{n} )$ O ( 1 n ) of the local limit theorem with finite third moment condition. Most of the bounds of convergence are usually defined with the symbol O. Giuliano Antonini and Weber (Bernoulli 23(4B):3268–3310, 2017) were the first who gave the explicit constant C of error bound $\frac{C}{\sqrt{n}}$ C n . In this paper, we improve the convergence rate and constants of error bounds in local limit theorem for $S_{n}$ S n . Our constants are less complicated than before, and thus easy to use.

AbstractIn the search for improved computational capabilities, conventional microelectronic computers are facing various problems arising from the miniaturization and concentration of active electronics. Therefore, researchers have explored wave systems, such as photonic or quantum devices, for solving mathematical problems at higher speeds and larger capacities. However, previous devices have not fully exploited the linearity of the wave equation, which as we show here, allows for the simultaneous parallel solution of several independent mathematical problems within the same device. Here we demonstrate that a transmissive cavity filled with a judiciously tailored dielectric distribution and embedded in a multi-frequency feedback loop can calculate the solutions of a number of mathematical problems simultaneously. We design, build, and test a computing structure at microwave frequencies that solves two independent integral equations with any two arbitrary inputs and also provide numerical results for the calculation of the inverse of four 5 x 5 matrices.

Drainage channels are essential components of englacial and subglacial hydrologic systems. Here, we use the M integral, a path-independent integral of the equations of continuum mechanics for a class of media, to unify descriptions of creep closure under a variety of stress states surrounding drainage channels. The advantage of this approach is that the M integral around the hydrologic channels is identical to same integral evaluated in the far field. In this way, the creep closure on the channel wall can be determined as a function of the far-field loading, e.g., involving antiplane shear as well as overburden pressure. We start by analyzing the axisymmetric case and show that the Nye solution for the creep closure of the channels is implied by the path independence of the M integral. We then examine the effects of superimposing antiplane shear. We show that the creep closure of the channels acts as a perturbation in the far field, which we explore analytically and numerically. In this way, the creep closure of channels can be succinctly written in terms of the path-independent M integral, and understanding the variation with applied shear is useful for glacial hydrology models.

The article describes the process of formation of political education as an independent, integral part of political education, which is due to the interest of the society to the training of qualified, knowledgeable people in the field of personnel policy. The authors show that political education, realized in the universities of our country, has a significant influence on the process of socialization of students. The formation of such values and qualities as patriotism, citizenship, political activity, civic culture through political education promotes successful social adaptation of youth in modern Russian society. This process is complex and long, and consists of three levels: basic, fundamental and higher.
