Abstract In the study, the topical application (1 µl/bee), contact (5 ml/pot/10 bees) and residual (5 ml/pot/10 bees) effects of eight insecticides (Methiocarb, Alphacypermethrin, Indoxacarb, Spinosad, Thiacloprid + Deltamethrin, Thiamethoxam, Thiamethoxam + Lambda-Cyhalothrin and Zeta Cypermethrin), which are commonly used in pest control in hazelnut cultivation, were investigated on Apis mellifera L. (Hymenoptera:Apidae). The study was conducted with 10 young worker bees in 4 replicates. Knock-down effect and 48-hour mortality were determined in all three methods. The study was conducted under 65-70% humidity and 24 ± 1 oC laboratory conditions. The study findings demonstrated that the impact of the topical application was low in all pesticides, while the other two methods led to 100% mortality after 48 hours at the recommended dose. The highest contact effect was observed with thiamethoxam + lambda-cyhalothrin, thiamethoxam, zeta cypermethrin, methiocarb and indoxacarb, followed by thiacloprid + deltamethrin, Spinosad and alphacypermethrin. Among the insecticides tested for residual effects, thiamethoxam + lambda-cyhalothrin, thiamethoxam, zeta cypermethrin and Spinosad led to over 90% mortality after 5 days.

The quitting a job of the expert worker and the lack of the technical transmission to the young worker with low birthrate, and the deterioration of the infrastructure institution which will increase rapidly in future will be the problem that must put up measures immediately in the construction business. CIM and i-Construction proposed by Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism enforce the improvement of the productivity of the construction site and the maintenance and check for the life cycle of the structure using three-dimensional model in order to solve such a problem, and they may be said that it is the big change of the construction production system. In this report, I survey three examples of the tool which I can utilize three-dimensional model for plan, measuring, construction, and maintenance based on a policy of CIM and i-Construction, explain an effective making method of the three-dimensional model suitable for a construction scale and contents and examine the effective utilization method and introduction effect in the construction production system.

This study examined the effects of precarious work characteristics on U.S. workers’ attitudes about three union-related issues using the 2009 Young Worker Survey. Union-related criteria included distrust in employers to treat employees fairly, collective efficacy (rather than individual) in solving workplace problems, and union efficacy in terms of whether union members are better off (or worse off) than nonunion workers. The results suggest that precarious work is much more a problem for younger workers (aged 18-34 years) than for older workers (aged 35 years and above). Consistent with prior studies, we find that young workers tend to hold more positive views of unions, although they are not uniformly more “pro-union” about all three union-related criteria. Further analysis indicates that what may be seen as youth effects on union attitudes are in part precarious work effects that can be confounded due to the strong relation between youth and precarious work.

Despite the growing number of union initiatives to foster a new generation of activists through the development of youth networks, issues of control and autonomy still remain. This article explores these tensions by drawing on case studies of labor organizations in France, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The findings suggest that union support for young worker initiatives is crucial for resources and networks, particularly when these groups are newly formed and in need of mentoring and material assistance. Significant local autonomy, however, is also critical to sustain the interest and creative energy of young worker groups.
