Until recently, there has been limited overview of the hospital administered cancer medications. The Cancer Registry of Norway has the approval to collect data on medical oncology treatment provided to each patient, but the reporting has so far been manual, time consuming and incomplete. Apart from conducting costly chart reviews, it has not been possible to carry out studies on hospital administered cancer medications. Efforts trying to improve manual reporting have not been sufficient and the most effective way of collecting data on cancer medications is through the hospital systems used for ordering/administering medical oncological treatment. The INSPIRE (INcreaSe PharmaceutIcal REporting) project was initiated to automatically and electronically collect data on cancer medication from the hospitals systems to the Cancer Registry. The project is a unique collaboration between 12 pharmaceutical companies, the Association of Pharmaceutical Companies in Norway, the Norwegian Cancer Society, Inven2, the Cancer Registry of Norway and the four Regional Health Trusts. In this article we describe the INSPIRE project, the data collection, and when and what kind of data that will be available. These new medication data at the Cancer Registry provide new opportunities for cancer pharmacoepidemiology research in Norway.

Does the choice of an environment where cheating is possible lead to its escalation? We analyzed behavior of employees (N = 284) hired to perform a task online. In the manual reporting (MR), employees could overreport the number of hours worked. In the automatic reporting (AR), the hours were counted automatically, making cheating impossible. Two-thirds of the participants were given a chance to choose the reporting scheme, the rest were assigned to the MR directly. Although we found that people in MR slightly overreported the hours worked, employees who chose MR did not overreport their hours more than those assigned to MR at random. Moreover, participants lower in honesty-humility were not more likely to choose MR; only those higher in emotionality were. The results show that even when enabled to cheat, online workers reported their hours worked honestly and the possibility for cheaters to select cheating enabling environments may not always lead to an increase of dishonesty in organizations.

A controlled substance is a drug which is not legitimate, and which has damaging effect on mankind. National and state administration and governments take utmost care to regulate these controlled substances. But production or usage of these substances are not always illegal. Since these drugs are sometimes prescribed by medical practitioners for various genuine treatment purposes and are also available through pharmacies. All entities who manufacture, procure, distribute and sell the controlled substances have to send detailed reports to the Drug Enforcement Agencies (DEA) at regular intervals. Instead of different parties in the supply chain sending individual reports to the DEA, these movement of the controlled substances should be tracked in a Blockchain environment so that without the manual reporting from different sources a complete tamper proof history can be maintained. DEA would be able to get the full traceability of the controlled substances from the point of manufacturing to the point of consumption. This product lifecycle would be transparent to all the stakeholders in the supply chain to get better visibility about the source and end consumer of the product.
