This article aims at presenting the model of the mass loss of a brass sample in ultrasonic cavitation field in saline water. The experiments done for data collecting was performed in three scenarios. In the first one, the high frequency generator worked at three power levels - 80 W, at the second one - at 120 W, and in the third one - at 180 W. The Model has been built using the series of the mass loss on surface.

This article contains the results of the experiments concerning the mass loss of two types of bronze in seawater in the cavitation produced by ultrasound generated by a high-frequency generator. The mass loss models are presented for the experimental conditions when the generator worked at different powers - 80 W, 120 W, and 180 W. In all scenarios, the results show that the bronze with Sn has the highest mass loss in the cavitation field.

Objective: A case report on the treatment of necrotizing fasciitis with the use of high frequency (HF) generator in a person with diabetes. Methods: This is descriptive study of applied nature developed in an outpatient clinic in Minas Gerais. The patient underwent dressing sessions three times a week for high frequency application. Healing was weekly evaluated using the Pressure Ulcer Scale Healing (PUSH) instrument and Image J software. Results: The area was significantly reduced, which was measured during six weekly evaluations. In the first four evaluations, a progressive reduction of the lesion was obtained in 11.78 cm², that is, 90% of the area. Conclusion: The use of the AF generator was effective in the treatment of necrotizing fasciitis, reducing the lesion area.

Power Electronics is widely used in bioscience and medical instruments such as Electrosurgical Units, MRI and X-ray. An advance development in switch mode power supply leads to a new design topology of DC to DC convertor for Electrosurgical Systems. The new designed system has a capacity to produce high efficient output power with high resonance, this improves the performance of the surgery operation. This paper reports a Buck-Boost topology DC to DC (Flyback) converter with high power switching. The simulation results show an improved performance when compared to the existing system.
