Purpose The purpose of this paper is to determine which software systems business school administrators use to support accreditation efforts and how administrators select and use these systems. This study also provides best practice suggestions from institutions using faculty data management systems to support accreditation efforts. Design/methodology/approach This study used a sequential explanatory design using an internet-based survey for business school administrators involved with accreditation reporting with follow-up interviews with survey respondents. Findings There are four major software vendors that most respondents use for managing reporting of faculty research activity and sufficiency. The location of the school appears to influence the system selected. For assurance of learning reporting, most schools used an in-house or manual system. Respondents highlighted the importance of doing a thorough needs analysis before selecting a system. Research limitations/implications Although respondents were geographically diverse, having a larger sample with schools in developing regions would provide greater generalizability of results. Practical implications This study gives business school leaders a comprehensive overview of the business schools’ data management systems, criteria used in system selection and best practices for system selection and implementation, faculty engagement and ongoing maintenance. Originality/value This study addresses the limited attention given to resources and best practices for selecting and implementing faculty data management software for accreditation in the academic and industry literature despite the significant investment of resources for schools and the importance such systems play in a successful accreditation effort.

The Belle II experiment, which started taking physics data in April 2019, will multiply the volume of data currently stored on its nearly 30 storage elements worldwide by one order of magnitude to reach about 340 PB of data (raw and Monte Carlo simulation data) by the end of operations. To tackle this massive increase and to manage the data even after the end of the data taking, it was decided to move the Distributed Data Management software from a homegrown piece of software to a widely used Data Management solution in HEP and beyond : Rucio. This contribution describes the work done to integrate Rucio with Belle II distributed computing infrastructure as well as the migration strategy that was successfully performed to ensure a smooth transition.

Disruptive innovation makes it possible for various data management and delivery of information using more information technology. The development of information technology, which is fast and advanced, has a very influential role in various services. For the sake of creating complete services, all health service providers need a system in serving patients. One of the services that currently requires accuracy is the pharmacy department.Pharmacy is a vital part of the health sector. The problem that often arises in data management activities in the pharmaceutical sector is the need for time in fast drug transaction services. The obstacle when implementing it using conventional methods is that it takes a long time and requires more accuracy so that services are hampered.By applying information technology in managing pharmaceutical data, it is able to provide convenience in managing drug data and producing the required reports. The purpose of this research is to build a pharmaceutical data management software that is able to provide convenience in computerized pharmaceutical data management, so that data and information can be stored and managed effectively and efficiently. This research is expected to provide solutions to health services, especially in the field of pharmacy, to provide good service so as to improve the quality of service to patients.

Background: Hope is a positive coping mechanism that is important at all stages of illness, more so for palliative care patients. Purpose: To explore the experiences of hope of palliative care patients. Methods: A qualitative study was conducted at University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Adult palliative care in-patients were recruited and interviewed with semi structured questions on hope. Transcripts from the interviews were thematically analyzed with qualitative data management software NVIVO. Findings: 20 palliative care patients participated in the study. The themes generated from thematic analysis were (1) The notions of hope, (2) The sources and barriers of hope and (3) The contents of hope. Conclusion: Hope is an ever-present source of energy that gives people strength to carry on even in the most adverse situations. Understanding hope from the palliative care perspective may allow healthcare providers to develop strategies to better foster hope in the terminally ill.

Yamaha Vixion Club Bandung (YVCB) was formed on July 7, 2007 in the city of Bandung, as a place of friendship between Yamaha Vixion motorcyclists. In its organizational structure, YVCB has a Human Resource Development (HRD) division. Until now, there are more than 800 Yamaha Vixion Club Bandung members. This software is made to facilitate the work of the Yamaha Vixion Club Bandung HRD Division in processing member data. Created using Microsoft Webmatrix as an editor with the PHP programming language. The database uses MySQL with PHPMyAdmin as the software. The method used in making this software is prototyping so that between developers and customers can understand each other what the customer wants. The purpose of making web-based member data management software is that in terms of managing member data it can be done anytime and anywhere by just accessing the internet. In the use of the program, the author chose to use PHP, because PHP is the best and easiest to use in website programming language. Based on the last paragraph, the author intends to make aplication based computerized attendance so that become effective and efficient in terms of time.
