A new class of affine scaling matrices for the interior point Newton-type methods is considered to solve the nonlinear systems with simple bounds. We review the essential properties of a scaling matrix and consider several well-known scaling matrices proposed in the literature. We define a new scaling matrix that is the convex combination of these matrices. The proposed scaling matrix inherits those interesting properties of the individual matrices and satisfies all the desired requirements. The numerical experiments demonstrate the superiority of the new scaling matrix in solving several important test problems.

The article is devoted to the development of software for calculating the hydrodynamic conditions and kinetic characteristics of granulation process in vortex devices. In the basis software Vortex Granulator© and Classification in vortex flow© original mathematical model for calculating the flow rate of gas and granules classification and separation processes of granules in a vortex granulator, kinetics of granules heating and removing moisture from the granules was put. The structure of software and algorithm of their work is shown. In the article, an algorithm for calculation of the granulation process in the vortex granulator using the developed software is shown. Software designed in JavaFx platform. Vortex Granulator© and Classification in vortex flow© allow to conduct an optimization calculation of vortex granulator according the criteria of minimum required residence time of granules in device workspace.

The society these days is bounded with inactive and unhealthy lifestyle.  According to the recent studies, there is a rapid increase of individuals suffering and dying from diseases caused by poor diet and unhealthy lifestyle. In view of this, knowing the right kind of food to eat, and the appropriate exercise is essential in achieving good health.  Being fit relates to good health, and healthy living makes life longer and happier. The objective of this study is to develop a system that will recommend its users the appropriate exercise and diet for their daily activities.  Exercise and diet plans were gathered and were validated by experts to ensure utmost level of effectiveness and safety among users.  Linear regression with passive monitoring of user activities was used to estimate and forecast future fitness states of the users.
