ABSTRACT For decades now, in the context of teacher education, we have been discussing the importance of paying attention to the fast and profound changes both in society and in people’s personal lives, as a consequence of the widespread use of new digital technologies. Yet, not much has changed in schools, where traditional teaching still rules. Students continue to be more knowledge consumers than active knowledge producers; besides, the use of technology for educational purposes remains as either a threat or an unattainable goal. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has compelled educational institutions to rethink the role of technology in education. In this article, we comment on the crisis that has struck higher education and how it has set our institutions and ourselves, as professors and teacher educators, into a deep process of rethinking our past practices and reimagining our future.

- Starting from the early nineties, the Italian banking system has undergone a deep process of deregulation, consolidation and diversification. The deregulation process has enabled Italian banks to enter new - geographical and product - markets. The single European market has introduced a competitive challenge from abroad. The concentration process may be explained on several grounds. Smaller banks have aimed at reaching a more efficient scale of production. Deals involving banks located in Northern and Southern Italy had a prudential rationale, given the weakness of Southern banks. Large banks have presumably pursued a defensive strategy, due to the threat of take-overs from abroad. An important role has been played by the moral suasion exerted by the Bank of Italy. Deregulation and consolidation have come along together with an increase of the competitive pressure, as shown by the decline of interest rate margins. Banks have reacted by diversifying their business, in order to expand their sources of revenue and to create switching costs for their customers (by selling bundles of services). Cyber defense is increasingly important for the wellbeing of our economy and our national defense. Universities can help meet our growing cybersecurity needs by training the next generation of cyber defenders, and it is crucial that the curricula for such programs are designed to prepare students for the type of work that is performed in the field. Unfortunately, collecting data about cyber work is hindered in situations where cybersecurity professionals are uncomfortable with traditional human factors work analysis methods. Four potential constraints are 1) no naturalistic observations, 2) anonymity and safety, 3) short data collection time, and 4) no deep process questions. We developed a brief interview technique that allowed us to measure the importance of knowledge, skills, and abilities related to offensive and defensive cyber work. Based on our experience using this technique, it fits within the four potential constraints to cyber research and produces information that is directly applicable to the development of cybersecurity curricula. Our technique could potentially be used for other research purposes and personnel selection and by researchers interested in other high-security populations.

<p>The N-S trends normal faults are widespread through the whole Tibetan Plateau. It records key information for the growth and uplift of the Tibetan Plateau. Numerous models are provided to explain the causes of rifting in the Tibetan Plateau based on the low-temperature thermochronology<sup>1</sup>. With the developments of the geophysical and magmatic geochemistry methods and its applications on the Tibetan Plateau, we could gain more profound understanding on the sphere structure of the Tibetan Plateau. This would give us more clues on how the deep process affect the formation and evolution of the shallow normal faults. However, few researchers pay attention on this and the relationship between the surface evolution and deep process of these faults. In order to solve these puzzles, we collected the published thermochronology data, magnetotelluric data, faults-related ultrapotassic, potassic and the adakitic rocks ages and present-day GPS measurements. We find that the distribution of the N-S trends normal faults are closely related to the weak zones in the middle to lower crust (15-50 km) revealed by the magmatism and magnetotelluric data<sup>2</sup>. Besides, the present-day GPS data show that the E-W extension rates match well with the eastward movements speeds interior Tibetan Plateau<sup>3</sup>. Combined with the thermochronology data (25-4 Ma), we concluded that 1.The weak zone in the middle to lower crust influence the developments and evolution of the N-S trends normal faults. 2. The material eastward flow enhance the N-S normal faults developments. 3.
