Plate bending is one of the major processes in shipbuilding. The plates which are cut in specific dimensions are sent to plate bending work shop and they are curved by using various methods. These curved plates constitute bilge turn plates of a vessel which are curvilinear. In this study, plate bending work shop was considered and its simulation model was created by using SIMIO software. The aim of the study is to see the effects of some alterations on available situation of plate bending work shop and present some recommendations in order for the plate bending work shop to operate effectively. In this work, there are number of four alterations including the changing of bending processing time, number of cranes and bending machine. At the end of the study, the values of the most suitable crane number, bending machine number, and the bending operation processing time were recommended. It is believed that the plate bending work shop will operate in effective way if the shipyard administration implement the recommendations presented in this study.

Within the scope of industrial megaprojects, such as a large-scale maintenance campaign for an oil platform, planning for tasks that will be executed in highly dynamic environments – defined by variability, uncertainty, and unforeseen events – is a challenging job. The Ergonomic Work Analysis (EWA) by the maintenance planning technicians showed that, despite the different strategies in use, there are limits in the possibility of predicting a future context. Thus, planning is a collective process of reducing uncertainty, but it requires instrumentalization of the players involved therewith.

This article is the result of research and reflection undertaken in the process of translating Vercoquin et le plancton. Focusing on music-related references in Boris Vian's first published novel, this article will discuss different layers of meaning and a variety of techniques that can be discerned in Vian's punning and wordplay. The complexity and compactness of his writing make for an exceptional case study. Whilst much of the wordplay may justifiably be classed as ‘juvenile’, its many facets also reflect life in Occupied France, document the Zazou movement, voice a manifesto for jazz, and stage playfulness that can be viewed as ranging from the very silly to a form of resistance. Such sophistication – largely overlooked, hitherto – justifies re-evaluation of Vian's early work. Analysis of a number of challenges to translation gives rise to discussion of possible solutions, based on different considerations – genre, function and audience – and using different ‘tools’. This article seeks not to justify my own choices in translation. Rather, it should illustrate the point that research is essential, and that interpretation and creativity are necessary if one's strategy in literary translation is to try to provide a new audience with similar opportunities for their own readings as a Francophone audience might have.

This article is devoted to the problem of translation of linguistic realities in English, Russian and Kyrgyz cultures. The article is an overview of the realities in the mentioned cultures. An attempt is made to find ways to overcome the linguo-ethnic barrier when translating concepts from the Kyrgyz language, reflecting the national character. The essence of this problem boils down to the fact that the main requirement of translation is to preserve the originality of the translated text and to study the cultural component of the text. It should be aimed at identifying the differences between the original and the translation, not only because of the linguistic form, but also because of the cultural one. The main purpose of the article is to analyze the elements of the linguistic specificity of translation of realities in English, Russian and Kyrgyz cultures. The subject of the research is ethnic elements — objective problems arising during translation, and methods of their solution, that is, the transfer of cultural realities during translation. The article examines the theory of cultural realities in the translation aspect and analyzes the main features and methods of translating words-realities. The selected realities are analyzed from the point of view of their translation methods to identify the most effective ones. To solve the set specific tasks, the following methods were used in the work: analysis, synthesis, classification and generalization of the data obtained. As a result of the study, material was obtained, the analysis of which made it possible to conclude that the choice of one way or another way to overcome the linguo-ethnic barrier depends on the situation of intercultural communication, as well as on the goals of the participants in the communication.

Abstract With the development of modern technology, smartphones have become a necessity for most people. Among other uses, mobile phones are increasingly being used in smart home systems. In smart homes, mobile phones are used to remotely control and monitor various systems such as simply turning on/off lights and household appliances, various monitoring systems, etc. Nowadays, sending coded messages or pressing application buttons is increasingly being avoided in process of developing smart systems. More and more frequently is used voice commands. The system which uses voice commands for remote control and monitoring smart home is described in this paper. In the implemented system, the user is able, using specific voice commands to remotely control the operation of various appliances in his home. An Android application was designed to control the implemented system. Using the designed Android application, the user controls the desired home devices with specific voice commands. Also, on the designed Android application are buttons that the user can use, in case the user’s voice is not recognized in the implemented system. For experimental work analysis, the model of the home is made with lights and different home appliances inside. The results of the experimental work analysis of the implemented system show this system is very simple to use and very efficient. Also, the latest technology for remote control and monitor smart systems is applied in the proposed smart home system.

Abstract Nowadays, automatic systems are using in more spheres of industry, and in this way, human intervention is avoided and used as minimally as possible. In the chicken poultry industry, the use of mother hens is transferring to automatic egg incubating systems. Such systems are helpful for the farmers to incubate the eggs automatically without the need for human intervention. These systems work by keeping the physical quantities, temperature and humidity, at the optimal level. In that way, the fetuses inside eggs are growing without the presence of the mother hen. The egg incubating systems not only improve poultry production considerably but also help in the regularity of income making, enabling the farmers to be able to get transition into possible rural entrepreneurship. This paper describes the design and implementation of a fuzzy control system for egg incubating based on IoT technology. The microcontroller is programmed to work as a fuzzy logic control system for controlling microclimate conditions in the egg incubator to keep the conditions for different eggs type optimal. Informations from the temperature and humidity sensors are sent wirelessly to the cloud. Also, the implemented egg incubating system enables automatic tracking of the remaining days until hatching chickens. In this way, remote monitoring, from any location, of microclimatic conditions inside the egg incubator is enabled. For the experimental work analysis of the implemented egg incubating system, the egg incubator is made. Based on the results of the experimental work analysis can be seen that the egg incubating system works well and that it helps with improving poultry production.

Abstract The development of teleoperation systems, robots, or any physical part of the system can be costly and if something goes wrong it can lead to development overdue. Precisely for these reasons, engineers and scientists today resort to the development of simulated systems before the construction of a real system. Robot Operating System (ROS) is one of the most popular solutions for robot development, manipulation, and simulation. In this paper, we present a web application for remote control of a ROS robot. The robot is controlled via a web application that is used as a virtual Joystick. Also, in this paper, an experimental work analysis of the projected system is performed. Further research possibilities include upgrading the presented web interface, adding certain motion autonomy sensors, or integrating some path planning algorithms.
