Top management team (TMT) knowledge hiding, which is not only related to the normal operation of the team but also closely related to enterprise innovation performance, has been paid little attention to in the previous studies. Based on the theories of upper echelons, knowledge management, and innovation, this study proposed a moderated mediation model to research how TMT knowledge hiding affected enterprise innovation performance. In this model, TMT knowledge hiding was the independent variable, TMT creativity was the mediating variable, enterprise innovation performance was the dependent variable, and team competitive climate was the moderating variable. MPLUS7.0 was used for the CFAs to evaluate the discriminate validities of the key variables, and SPSS 22.0 was used to calculate the descriptive statistics, analyze the correlations between variables, make the multiple regression analysis, and process the data obtained from 612 executives in 53 TMTs. The results showed that TMT knowledge hiding had a significant negative impact on enterprise innovation performance; TMT creativity had a partial mediating effect between TMT knowledge hiding and enterprise innovation performance, and team competitive climate had a moderating effect on the relationship between TMT knowledge hiding and TMT creativity. These research results fill up the gap of the theoretical research in TMT knowledge hiding and provide scientific guidance to reasonably reduce or eliminate the phenomenon of TMT knowledge hiding and improve enterprise innovation performance.

Purpose This paper aims to adopt a moderated mediation model to examine the mediation roles of employee engagement and hindrance time pressure; the moderation roles of personality in the relationship between strengths-based psychological climate and employee innovation performance. Design/methodology/approach Applying snowball sampling and a self-administered survey, the data were collected from employees and immediate supervisors working in Chinese small-medium-sized enterprises. The PROCESS macro for SPSS was applied to examine the moderated mediation model. Findings The results show that a strengths-based psychological climate significantly influences employee engagement and hindrance time pressure, which, in turn, affects employee innovation performance. Both extroversion and emotional stability moderate the relationship between strengths-based psychological climate, employee engagement and hindrance time pressure but also the indirect effect of strengths-based psychological climate on employee innovation performance through employee engagement and hindrance time pressure. Research limitations/implications Drawing on job demands and resources models, this research focusses on maximizing employee strengths instead of weaknesses and includes both two intermediating mechanisms in-between strengths-based psychological climate and innovation performance. Personality variables are applied as moderators, as the study assumes the effectiveness of the strengths-based interventions may vary depends on individual differences. Practical implications This study proposes that a strengths-based psychological climate may shift focusses from employee weakness to strengths to maximise their talents. Also, personality variables are suggested to be considered in the related human resource practices (e.g. hiring and performance appraisal) to increase the fit between employees, their jobs and the organisations. Originality/value This study develops a moderated mediation model to investigate the possible mediating mechanisms and boundary conditions in relation to the impact of strengths-based psychological climate on employee innovation performance.

Although interparental conflict is a risk factor for adolescent problematic internet use (PIU), little research has investigated the mediating and moderating mechanisms underlying this association from the perspective of "school × family" interplay. To address such gaps, this study tested the idea that interparental conflict might be associated with PIU in adolescents via restraining the protective effect of future positive time perspective and via boosting deleterious effect of future negative time perspective. In addition, this study also investigated the moderation effect of teacher-student relationship in the association between interparental conflict and future time perspective. Using three-wave longitudinal data, with each time point spanning three months apart, this study examined the aforesaid questions in a sample of 523 Chinese adolescents (M age = 14.64, SD = 1.37; 276 boys and 247 girls). Results of moderated mediation model indicated that interparental conflict at T1 was associated with PIU at T3 in adolescents through future negative time perspective at T2, especially for adolescents with a great teacher-student relationship. These findings shed light on the underlying mechanisms that explain how interparental conflict is associated with PIU in adolescents and provide effective prevention and intervention strategies of PIU in a Chinese cultural context

Cyberbullying is a major youth social problem over the world and it has been associated with a variety of negative outcomes. However, few studies investigated how offline peer victimization affect cyberbullying and the potential relations between family factors and cyberbullying remains unknown. The current study addresses this gap in knowledge by examining the victimized by peers is associated with higher moral disengagement which further promotes college student’s bullying online. A three-wave longitudinal study, each wave spanning six months apart, was conducted in a sample of 521 Chinese college students (Mage = 22.45, SD = 4.44, 59.3% girls). Results of moderated mediation model shown that peer victimization at T1 predicted more cyberbullying at T3 through moral disengagement at T2, after controlling for demographic variables and cyberbullying at T1. T2 moral disengagement significantly mediating the association between T1 peer victimization and T3 cyberbullying. In addition, high level of negative parenting strengthened the effect of moral disengagement at T2 on cyberbullying at T3. The prevention and intervention for both offline and online bullying victimization are discussed.
