Onset of monsoon for each year of the period from 1961 to 1986 over the Upper Mahanadi basin has been studied taking into consideration the sharp increase in water levels of the Hirakud reservoir. This study has shown that .there are positive and negative time-lags in the arrival of monsoon run off into the reservoir. It has been seen that positive time lags are due to antecedent condition of the basin before the onset of monsoon while negative time-lag appears to be due to pre-monsoon thunderstorm activity which causes reservoir levels to increase before the onset of monsoon. Attempt has been made to discuss all these cases briefly. It has been seen that on  a majority of occasions monsoon runoff has reached the reservoir with a time-lag of 1 to 4 days.

In this article, we assume that the beginning of the universe was before the Big Bang. In the beginning, all matter in the universe was combined in an infinitesimal spherical shape. This sphere was compressed to an incomprehensible value for a period, and then exploded and expanded time and space. We are referring to the negative time before the Big Bang. The evolution of the universe before the Big Bang, passing through the moment of the explosion to the end of the universe at the Big Rip, has been studied. In this article, we try to answer the questions; did the universe exist before the Big Bang? What is the origin of the universe and how did it arise? What are the stages of the evolution of the universe until the moment of the Big Rip? What is the length of time for the stages of this development?

Abstract Holographic complexity in the “complexity equals action” approach is reconsidered relaxing the requirement of reparameterization invariance of the action with the prescription that the action vanish in any static, vacuum causal diamond. This implies that vacuum anti-de Sitter space plays the role of the reference state. Moreover, the complexity of an anti-de Sitter-Schwarzschild black hole becomes intrinsically finite and saturates Lloyd’s bound after a critical time. It is also argued that several artifacts, such as the unphysical negative-time interval, can be removed by truly considering the bulk dual of the thermofield double state.

Introduction The COVID-19 pandemic has majorly disrupted many aspects of people’s lives, provoking psychosocial distress among students. People’s positive and negative attitudes towards the past, present and future were a dispositional pre–COVID-19 reality. Faced with a pandemic, people have reported disruptions in the speed of passing time. People can shift their attention more towards the past, present or future when major changes in society occur. These aspects of psychological time would be key to understanding the quality of psychosocial adjustment to the pandemic. We hypothesized that dispositional time attitudes impact psychosocial distress because they would trigger situational changes in our time perception and temporal focus. Methods One hundred and forty-four university students in Uruguay responded to self-report questionnaires online while in-person classes were cancelled. Students reported on shifts in temporal focus, changes in time awareness and dispositional time attitudes. Reactive psychological, social and learning environment distress were reported. Results Students reported substantial changes in time perception and temporal focus. A correlation matrix showed significant relationships between time attitudes, focus and awareness. For example, psychological distress was correlated with negative time attitudes, slower passage of time, boredom, blurred sense of time and shifting focus to the past. Mediation models were derived. The indirect effect of time attitudes on psychological distress was significant through past focus. Discussion Dispositional time attitudes would impact students’ capacity to cope with the pandemic. Situational shifts in temporal focus and perception were prevalent and can be viewed as temporal coping mechanisms in the wake of powerful societal change. Our mediation models showed that those with negative time attitudes experienced more psychological distress because they shifted their attention to the past. Future directions for research and practical implications are discussed.

Background. The clinical presentation of Coronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19) varies from mild symptoms to severe illness including multiorgan dysfunction. Favipiravir is an antiviral agent which has been previously used for treatment of influenza and was recently approved for treatment of mild to moderate COVID-19 in India. Objective. The Objective of this study was to assess the role of Favipiravir and Dexamethasone in patients with COVID-19. Methods. A total of 17 patients were included in this observational study. The included patients were RT-PCR for SARS-Cov-2 positive with increased inflammatory markers. All patients received Antiviral therapy, Anticoagulation (Enoxaparin 0.4mg subcutaneous twice daily), Steroids (Dexamethasone 8mg daily for 5days and 4mg daily for 5 days). Viral clearance (time to RT-PCR negative), time to defervescence after antiviral therapy, time to become independent of Oxygen support was studied. Results. Fever, myalgias, dry cough and dyspnea were the commonest presentation of COVID-19. All of our patients had lymphopenia. In our study 11 (64.7%) patients had bilateral ground glass opacities on CT chest while 6 had consolidation in addition to ground glass opacities. In two patients, who required non-invasive ventilation, Favipiravir was stopped and these patients received Remdesivir for a total of 5 days. In patients who received Favipiravir only, the Median time to RT-PCR negative, defervescence and oxygen independence was 8,3 and 6 days respectively. Conclusion. Our observational study demonstrated improvement in the majority of patients with COVID-19 with use of Favipiravir. Additional studies are needed to compare the efficiency of Favipiravir with Remdesivir.

In this paper we investigate the time trend coefficients in snowpack percentages by watershed in Colorado, US, allowing for the possibility of long range dependence or long memory processes. Nine series corresponding to the following watersheds are examined: Arkansas, Colorado, Gunnison, North Platte, Rio Grande, South Platte, San Juan-Animas-Dolores-San Miguel, Yampa & White and Colorado Statewide, based on annual data over the last eighty years. The longest series start in 1937 and all end in 2019. The results indicate that most of the series display a significant decline over time, showing negative time trend coefficients, and thus supporting the hypothesis of climate change and global warming. Nevertheless, there is no evidence of a long memory pattern in the data.

One of the main goals of sport psychology is to identify those psychological factors that are relevant for sport performance as well as possibilities of their development. The aim of the study was to determine whether the set of specific psychological characteristics [generalized self-efficacy, time perspective, emotional intelligence (EI), general achievement motivation, and personality dimensions] makes the distinction between athletes based on their (non)-participation in the senior national team, that is, their belonging to the subsample of elite or non-elite athletes depending on this criterion. According to the group centroids it can be said that elite athletes are characterized by a positive high score in self-efficacy, emotionality, present fatalistic time perspective, past positive time perspective, and openness to experience. They are also characterized by low past negative time perspective, emotional competence, and future time perspective. Non-elite athletes have the opposite traits. The results have been discussed in the context of their application in the process of talent selection and development in sport as well as the development of life skills in athletes.

Since December 2019, 2019 outbreak of coronavirus (Covid-19) spread all over the world as well as in Turkey. In this study, we aimed to investigate the clinical and laboratory effects of covid 19 disease on children. The epidemiological, laboratory, radiological, and treatment features of the 30 pediatric patients with covid-19 evaluated retrospectively. The median age of the patients was 10 years, boys and girls ratio was 1.5 (18/12). Of the patients, 80.7% had family contact and 11.5% had comorbidity. The most common symptom was fever (84.6%), and cough was the second frequency (57.7%). All patients except 1 patient had a mild course, 5 were asymptomatic. One patient needed intensive care who had underlying chronic disease. Neutropenia was the most common laboratory anomaly (36.6%). Increased D-dimer levels were observed in 9 patients (30%), decreased leukocyte was in 7 patients (23.3%) and increasedlactate dehydrogenaz level was in 8 patients (26.6%). Chest computed tomography was taken 14 patients who had an abnormal chest X-rays, and ground-glass opacities were seen in 6 patients (20%). Hydroxychlorachine, azithromycin and other antibiotic treatments were given to the necessary patients. The mean PCR negative time in the treated symptomatic group was 8.8 +5.34 day, while in the untreated asymptomatic group 12 + 5.19 day and there was no statistically significant difference (p=0.154). The correlation between PCR negative time and clinical, laboratory, and radiological findings was examined and no correlation was found. In conclusion, pediatric covid 19 is mostly transmitted by family contact and has a mild course if there is no underlying disease. The most common symptoms are fever and cough. Ground glass densities on lung tomography are similar to adult. More conservative approaches may be preferred in children.

Abstract How to obtain the high signal intensity harmonic spectra with the single harmonic radiation path contribution becomes an important issue in the investigations of the high-order harmonic generation and attosecond science. In this paper, through the nonhomogeneous multicolor laser beams optimization, the best time-spatial laser waveforms, including the positive and negative time-spatial waveforms, to produce the harmonic spectra can be found. As a result, the harmonic plateaus with the single harmonic radiation path contribution and with the enhancement of several orders of magnitudes can be obtained, which can support the generation of the isolated pulses with the durations of 29 as. The physical mechanism behind the improvement of the harmonic spectra is given by the time-spatial profile analyses of the laser pulses and the harmonic spectra.
