In order to study the electrochemical sensor of nanometer mechanism materials to realize the high sensitive detection of different chemical molecules, in this research, the preparation methods of molybdenum dioxide nanomaterials, molybdenum dioxide/metal particles (Au, Pt, Au@Pt) composites and the preparation of molybdenum dioxide nanomaterials, molybdenum dioxide /Au composite nanomaterials, molybdenum dioxide /Pt composite nanomaterials and molybdenum dioxide /Au @Pt composite nanomaterials were introduced. Then the electrochemical behavior of several modified electrodes, electrochemical behavior in catechol system, scanning and pH were applied to the modified electrode. Finally, the electrode p-catechol system was detected by differential pulse voltammetry and the actual samples were analyzed. The results showed that compared with unmodified electrode materials, the electrode modified by molybdenum dioxide nanomaterials, molybdenum dioxide /Au composite nanomaterials, molybdenum dioxide /Pt composite nanomaterials and molybdenum dioxide /Au @Pt composite nanomaterials has better electrocatalytic performance and the detection of catechol has a good effect. Among them, the electrochemical sensor constructed by MoS2-Au@Pt composite has the best detection performance for catechol. The results have a good guiding significance for the performance improvement of electrochemical sensor.

Electrochemical behavior of five progressively alkylated thiazine dyes has been investigated at glassy carbon/montmorillonite and glassy carbon/zeolite electrodes. Quantitative characteristics, associated with the positions of peak potentials (Ea and Ec) and current ratios (ia/ic), are measured with scan rates. The peak current observed in the modified electrodes is dependent on both the porosity and nature and number of sites involved in partitioning the complex into film. The values of diffusion coefficient for different dyes have been calculated from electrochemical data. It is suggested that in clay-modified electrode along with physical diffusion the process of electron hopping seems to be most likely.

In this study, the fabrication of a metal oxide nanoparticles (NPs) dispersed catalytic electrode is described based on a new alternating current (AC) plasma deposition approach. The fabrication involves the treatment of AC plasma on a precursor solution comprised of metal salts such as CuCl2, FeCl2, and ZnCl2, and a monomer (acrylic acid) in the presence/absence of a cross-linker. Furthermore, the utility of such developed electrodes has been demonstrated for the electrochemical determination of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). The electrode materials obtained through plasma treatment was characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, scanning electron microscope (SEM), contact angle measurements, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and cyclic voltammetry. Among the metal oxide modified electrodes prepared by the AC plasma deposition method, the copper oxide (CuO) NPs catalytic electrode exhibited significant oxidation and reduction peaks for H2O2 in phosphate-buffered saline solution. The catalytic electrode with CuO NPs exhibited a combination of good H2O2 sensing characteristics such as good sensitivity (63.52 mA M−1 cm−2), good selectivity, low detection limits (0.6 µM), fast sensing response (5 s), a wide linear range (0.5–8.5 mM), and good stability over 120 cycles. Based on our results, it is well demonstrated that plasma deposition could be effectively utilized for the fabrication of the catalytic electrode for detection of H2O2 concentrations. Further, the strategy of using AC plasma for fabrication of metal oxide-based modified electrodes could also be extended for the fabrication of other kinds of nanomaterials-based sensors.

In this study, we report a facile electrochemical method to obtain polyaniline/single-wall carbon nanotubes (PANI/SWCNTs) composite electrodes by combining the electroreduction of diazonium salts and electropolymerization of conductive polymers. In a first step, the SWCNTs are covalently functionalized with diphenyl amine through the electrochemical reduction of the 4-aminodiphenylamine diazonium salt in order to provide anchors for the subsequent polymer electrodepostion. The aniline oxidation remains possible on this grafted layer and PANI can easily be deposited on the diphenyl amine-modified electrodes. The electrochemically deposited PANI/SWCNTs composites exhibit excellent electrochemical charge storage properties making them promising electrode materials for high power supercapacitors.
