Purpose This paper aims to deal with the study of heat and mass transfer on double-diffusive three-dimensional hydromagnetic boundary layer flow of an electrically conducting Casson nanofluid over a stretching surface. The combined effects of nonlinear thermal radiation, magnetic field, buoyancy forces, thermophoresis and Brownian motion are taken into consideration with convective boundary conditions. Design/methodology/approach Similarity transformations are used to reduce the governing partial differential equations into a set of nonlinear ordinary differential equations. The reduced equations were numerically solved using Runge–Kutta–Fehlberg fourth-fifth-order method along with shooting technique. Findings The impact of several existing physical parameters such as Casson parameter, mixed convection parameter, regular buoyancy ratio parameter, radiation parameter, Brownian motion parameter, thermophoresis parameter, temperature ratio parameter on velocity, temperature, solutal and nanofluid concentration profiles are analyzed through graphs and tables in detail. It is found that the solutal component increases for Dufour Lewis number, whereas it decreases for nanofluid Lewis number. Moreover, velocity profiles decrease for Casson parameter, while the Nusselt number increases for Biot number, radiation and temperature ratio parameter. Originality/value This paper is a new work related to three-dimensional double-diffusive flow of Casson nanofluid with buoyancy and nonlinear thermal radiation effect.

To prevent the leakage of image content, image encryption technology has received increasing attention. Most current algorithms are only suitable for the images of certain types and cannot update keys in a timely manner. To tackle such problems, we propose an adaptive chaotic image encryption algorithm based on RNA and pixel depth. Firstly, a novel chaotic system, two-dimensional improved Logistic-adjusted-Sine map is designed. Then, we propose a three-dimensional adaptive Arnold transform for scrambling. Secondly, keys are generated by the hash values of the plain image and current time to achieve one-image, one-key, and one-time pad simultaneously. Thirdly, we build a pre-permuted RNA cube for 3D adaptive scrambling by pixel depth, chaotic sequences, and adaptive RNA coding. Finally, selective diffusion combined with pixel depth and RNA operations is performed, in which the RNA operators are determined by the chemical structure and properties of amino acids. Pixel depth is integrated into the whole procedure of parameter generation, scrambling, and diffusion. Experiments and algorithm analyses show that our algorithm has strong security, desirable performance, and a broader scope of application.

The induced magnetic field for three-dimensional bio-convective flow of Casson nanofluid containing gyrotactic microorganisms along a vertical stretching sheet is investigated. The movement of these microorganisms cause bioconvection and they act as bio-active mixers that help in stabilising the nanoparticles in the suspension. The two forces, Thermophoresis and Brownian motion are incorporated in the Mathematical model along with Stefan blowing. The resulting model is transformed to ordinary differential equations using similarity transformations and are solved using [Formula: see text] method. The Velocity, Induced Magnetic field, Temperature, Concentration of Nanoparticles, and Motile density profiles are interpreted graphically. It is observed that the Casson parameter decreases the flow velocity and enhances the temperature, concentration, and motile density profiles and also it is noticed that the blowing enhances the nanofluid profiles whereas, suction diminishes the nanofluid profiles. On the other hand, it is perceived that the rate of heat conduction is enhanced with Thermophoresis and Brownian motion.
