In recent years, dynamic development of intermodal transport has been observed in Poland, the rope infrastructure is being modernized, new terminals are being created. However, the process of their formation is chaotic. A number of makeshift terminals are created which do not meet the service standards. The intermodal terminal network in Poland has a strong diversity, density that does not cover the impact of the entire country. European Union recommendations indicate that the distance between terminals should not exceed 150 km. For the development of this transport segment, it is advisable to create a coherent network of intermodal terminals managed by a national operator.
