Increasing cost in energy sector demands for structured use of energy. It is vital to understand the rate of energy consumption during specific period utilizing Energy Meters. Energy consumption can be measured using a traditional energy meter; however, their use is restricted in inaccessible areas or in occasion of poor visibility resulting in limited functionality. Also, the main drawback is that a person has to take readings area by area from every house and institute make it time consuming. We propose a Cloud based Wireless Energy Meter [1] which can send data via wireless communication (cloud computing) to a PC or mobile phones in the form of E-mails or mobile application notification or through web page; where surveillance and analysis of the data will be made. This computational system can be used to measure energy quantities of transformers and high voltage towers at remote locations, industries, domestic area, and institutions.

Abstract— This year, citizens were complaining that the power companies were overcharging their bills because of the pandemic, but investigations in previous years also showed claims in Peru and internationally. In this work, the Scrum Methodology was used for the development of the mobile application and the Balsamiq tool was used for the design of the prototype. In addition, the Arduino tool was used for the electricity consumption meter. As for the case study, we developed the prototypes of the application with its functions and the methodology of how it is elaborated, at the same time we described the way in which the meter will be implemented with Arduino. The results obtained from the research are that people can compare the consumption of the bill issued by the electricity company and the consumption shown by the Arduino meter, in addition to the union of the mobile application with the meter will allow them to consult the consumption and also issue reports having a better control of electricity. This work can be implemented not only in the cities, but also in remote places where traditional meters have not been implemented. Keywords— Arduino; Mobile applications; Power consumption; Scrum methodology

The paper focuses on using ICT tools for smart home applications. It presents the design and implementation of a system to monitor and analyze the energy consumption, utilize lights when needed, program the temperature by identifying inhabitants' absence and setting the temperature appropriately high or low. The system also uses colored LEDs to alert inhabitants of different parameters, to turn their loads on and off based on the cost of electricity use as well as to enable them to control some of their home appliances usage through a mobile application to reduce electricity usage and minimize energy waste.

Engineering is the set of technological knowledge that helps in innovation, invention, development and improvement of techniques and tools that meet the needs and solve problems of companies and society in general, creating projects that facilitate the solution to any problem raised, not It matters what nature it is, always visualizing the benefit attached to a sustainability in general. Nowadays the biggest problem we have is the excessive consumption of natural resources, we need to give sound solutions that little by little will minimize this situation. In this project, a mobile application called Applight was visualized, which will help to reduce energy consumption in hotels, through an indicator that will let us know if any household appliance or lamps and lights were activated, thus having the opportunity to turn off and deactivate all those components that were left on when leaving. In this way, it will help to reduce energy consumption, in a large amount thus contributing to the care of the environment and the expenditure of energy payments in hotel companies.

Energy consumption is one of the most important, for it is necessary to control the use of home lighting as needed. Monitoring is important, in order to know the quality of electricity supply in the system, identifying disruption events, and to calculate the amount of electrical energy consumption periodically. To achieve the objectives mentioned above, two schemes for home control and monitoring the electrical quantities in real-time have been developed. The first scheme presents Bluetooth based home control.  It uses an HC-05 Bluetooth module and Bluetooth Controller mobile application for switching on / off the appliances. Relay and LEDs are used as loads to demonstrate the working of the system. This system is based on Arduino Uno microcontroller board. Arduino Integrated Development Environment (IDE) is used for developing the necessary software. The second scheme uses the current sensor ACS712-20A for monitoring of voltage, current, and energy consumption. The measurement results include voltage, current, power, and the amount of energy consumption that is displayed by LCD 16*2.
