AbstractThe Internet of Things (IoT) is a network of embedded devices that are uniquely identifiable and have embedded software required to communicate between the transient states. The purpose of this study is to explore discrete IoT security challenges pertaining to currently deployed IoT standards and protocols. We have presented a detailed review in this study that focuses on IoT's imminent security aspects, covering identification of risks pertaining to the current IoT system, novel security protocols, and security projects proffered in recent years. This work presents an updated review of the IoT architecture in the protocols and standards that are proffered for the next-gen IoT systems. A security-specific comparative analysis of protocols, standards, and proffered security models are presented as per IoT security requirements. This study elicits the need for standardization at the communication and data audit level, which exposes the hardware, software, and data to various threats and attacks. Our study reveals a need for protocols that are competent enough to be accorded for over one threat vector. This paper provides an insight into the latest security research trends, which will prove beneficial in the development of IoT security. The research outcomes can benefit the research community in IoT by integrating IoT-based devices' best security aspects.

This article is devoted to the creation of a career-oriented (smart) laboratory, which is designed to formulate in schoolchildren basic ideas about the Internet of Things (IoT) technology, cyber security threats in this area, motivate to receive specialized education in the future and build a career in the field of Internet things (IoT) security) with the functioning of smart manufacturing. The training of schoolchildren in a vocational guidance laboratory, based on the use of interactive electronic educational resources, will primarily position the career opportunities of future specialists in the field of Internet of Things (IoT) security in the operation of smart manufacturing. Within the framework of the functioning of the laboratory, special attention of students is concentrated on the topics of the legal aspects of ensuring cyber security, the main trends in the development of cyber threats in the modern global information space and the measures necessary to neutralize them.

In recent years, due to their frequent use and widespread use, IoT (Internet of Things) devices have become an attractive target for hackers. As a result of their limited network resources and complex operating systems, they are vulnerable to attacks. Using a honeypot can, therefore, be a very effective way of detecting malicious requests and capturing samples of exploits. The purpose of this article is to introduce honeypots, the rise of IoT devices, and how they can be exploited by attackers. Various honeypot ecosystems will be investigated further for capturing and analyzing information from attacks against these IoT devices. As well as how to leverage proactive strategies in terms of IoT security, it will provide insights on the attack vectors present in most IoT systems, along with understanding attack patterns.

In recent decades, the communication of electronic equipment and physical resources is combined. Internet of Things (IoT) distributes things widely in the network. The IoT is Internet-based pervasive computing, which created significant development in the recent disposition of IoT infrastructures. The IoT infrastructures lead, manage and generate large amounts of data across various applications including environmental, transportation and healthcare monitoring. In this regard, there are salient uncertainties about the use of security concepts that are frequently measured as a major concern of IoT distributed architecture design. This paper mainly focuses on the classification of IoT, novel architecture considering the sensitivity of data, IoT security layers, review of security issues and acclaimed countermeasures.

In recent years the Internet of Things (IoT) has rapidly become a revolutionary technological invention causing significant changes to the way both corporate computing systems, and even household gadgets and appliances, are designed and manufactured. The aim of this chapter is to highlight the security and privacy issues that may affect the evolution of IoT technology. The privacy issues are discussed from customer perspectives: first, the IoT privacy concern where the privacy debates on IoT and the IoT privacy that reflected from users' perspective based on the examination of previous researches results. In addition, the different architectures for IoT are discussed. Finally, the chapter discusses the IoT security concern by collecting, analyzing and presenting the major IoT security concerns in the literature as well as providing some potential solutions to these concerns.
