AbstractWe report the complete genome sequence of a field isolate of a novel bipartite secovirid infecting cassava in Colombia, provisionally named "cassava torrado-like virus" (CsTLV). The genome sequence was obtained using Oxford Nanopore Technology, and the 5’ ends were confirmed by RACE. The RNA1 is 7252 nucleotides (nt) long, encoding a polyprotein of 2336 amino acids (aa) containing the typical “replication block”, conserved torradovirus motifs, and a Maf/Ham1 domain, which is not commonly found in viral genomes. The RNA2 is 4469 nt long and contains two overlapping ORFs encoding proteins of 226 and 1179 aa, showing the characteristic genome arrangement of members of the genus Torradovirus.

ABSTRACT The complete genome sequence of classical swine fever virus (CSFV) strain CSFV-UP-BR-KHG-06, from genotype 2.2, was determined. Comparative analysis based on the amino acid sequence of some important B-cell epitopes, T-cell epitopes, glycosylation sites, and conformational residues showed the striking differences between the group 2 virus KHG-06 and the vaccine strains HCLV/India and C-strain.

We report here the complete genome sequence of HeN1505, a field isolate of classical swine fever virus belonging to the new subgenotype 2.1d. HeN1505 distinguishes itself from other classical swine fever virus (CSFVs) by 1 amino acid substitution in position 159 (threonine by isoleucine), which led to the loss of one N -glycosylation site in the N pro protein.

We report here the complete genome sequence of a WU polyomavirus (WUPyV) isolate, NM040708, collected from a patient with an acute respiratory infection in New Mexico. The double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) genome of NM040708 is 5,229 bp in length and differs from the WUPyV reference with accession no. NC_009539 by 6 nucleotides and 2 amino acids.

Rubrobacter xylanophilus strain AA3-22, belonging to the phylum Actinobacteria, was isolated from nonvolcanic Arima Onsen (hot spring) in Japan. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of this organism, which was obtained by combining Oxford Nanopore long-read and Illumina short-read sequencing data.

ABSTRACT A novel satellite virus of 1,228 bp in length was found in a single cassava plant. Bioinformatic analyses show that it has two open reading frames (ORFs) in its genome, probably encoding a coat protein of 156 and a putative protein of 90 amino acids.

We report here the complete genome sequence ofSendai virusMoscow strain. Anecdotal evidence for the efficacy of oncolytic virotherapy exists for this strain. The RNA genome of the Moscow strain is 15,384 nucleotides in length and differs from the nearest strain, BB1, by 18 nucleotides and 11 amino acids.

ABSTRACT Lymphatic filariasis is a devastating disease caused by filarial nematode roundworms, which contain obligate Wolbachia endosymbionts. Here, we assembled the genome of wBp, the Wolbachia endosymbiont of the filarial nematode Brugia pahangi, from Illumina, Pacific Biosciences, and Oxford Nanopore data. The complete, circular genome is 1,072,967 bp.
