This research aimsto analyze the influence of commitment, leadership, work environment and compensation to competitive advantages with engagement as intervening variable. Culture of engagement should be acquired by each employee in order to reach the competitive advantages.Samples were selected with census method or population research. Data are collected by distributing questionnaires to 35 senior high school teachers. Databe analyzed using Structural Equation Model (SEM) with PLS (Partial Least Squares) program. The result shows that 5 from 9 hypotheses argued are accepted, they are H2, H3, H6, H7 and H9. Research hypotheses include: the influence of leadership to engagement, the influence of work environment to engagement, the influence of leadership to competitive advantages, the influence of work environment to competitive advantages and the influence of engagement to competitive advantages.Whereas four other hypotheses (H1, H4, H5, H8) are rejected, they are the influence of commitment to engagement, the influence of commitment to competitive advantages, the influence of compensation to engagement, and the influence of compensation to competitive advantages. Keywords: commitment, leadership, work environment, compensation, engagement, competitive advantages.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate what factors influenced on Teacher competencies Test (Uji Kompetensi Guru/UKG) of Indonesian ESL Senior High School teacher’s in West Java Indonesia. The data used in this study were derived from a teacher competencies test, and a questionnaire survey conducted among teachers who attended National Gathering of Senior High School English Teachers 2017 in Bandung, West Java. A total of 61 usable responses were received. The analysis was using Structural Equation Model (SEM) to see the correlations among variables also identify which predictors influenced most on Teacher Competencies Test. The result revealed that teacher competencies test was mostly influenced by education background (β =.27, p=0.028). It can be concluded that to increase the teacher’s competencies can be done by giving a chance to teachers to continue their study.

This research talks about the Influence of Competence and Master's SatisfactionPerformance of High School Teachers in Bakorwil I Region of East Java. The populationof research is 1012 high school teachers. By using the Slovin formula with a tolerance of5%, the sample size was 287 respondents. Test model with Least Square Estimate estimation (GLS), structural equation model(SEM) analysis, proportional random sampling method and Amos 22 software, on 287respondents. The test results show the model (fit) seen from the GFI, AGFI, TLI, CFI,RMSEA and CMIN / DF values, respectively 0.942, 0.913, 0.964, 0.981, 0.064 and 1.588are all within the expected value range. The model is acceptable. The results showed that: 1). Teacher competence has a significant effect on teacher'ssatisfaction. 2). Teacher competence has a significant effect on teacher performance. 3).Teacher satisfaction has a significant effect on teacher performance.4). Teachercompetence has an indirectly significant influence on teacher performance throughteacher's satisfaction. Keywords: teacher competence, satisfaction, teacher performance
