AbstractFPGAs are promising target architectures for hardware acceleration of database query processing, as they combine the performance of hardware with the programmability of software. In particular, they are partially reconfigurable at runtime, which allows for the runtime adaptation to a variety of queries. However, reconfiguration costs some time, and a region of the FPGA is not available for computations during its reconfiguration. Techniques to avoid or at least hide the reconfiguration latencies can improve the overall performance. This paper presents optimizations based on query look-ahead, which follows the idea of exploiting knowledge about subsequent queries for scheduling the reconfigurations such that their overhead is minimized. We evaluate our optimizations with a calibrated model for various parameter settings. Improvements in execution time can be “calculated” even if only being able to look one query ahead.

Abstract: This paper proposed the layout of Vedic Multiplier based totally on Urdhva Trigbhyam approach of multiplication. It is most effective Vedic sutras for multiplication. Urdhva triyagbhyam is a vertical and crosswise approach to discover product of two numbers. Multiplication is an essential quintessential feature in arithmetic logic operation. Computational overall performance of a DSP device is limited via its multiplication overall performance and since, multiplication dominates the execution time of most DSP algorithms. Multiplication is one of the simple arithmetic operations and it requires extensively extra hardware assets and processing time than addition and subtraction. Our work is to compare different bit Vedic multiplier structure using carry look ahead adder technique. Keywords: Carry Look Ahead Adder, Urdhva Trigbhyam, DSP algorithms, Vedic Multiplier

In order to improve the efficiency in economic data processing, the construction of the data processing system based on the net cluster technology is proposed in this paper. As an important part of Statistic Data Warehouse, the Macro-economy Emulation System, which is based on statistic data warehouse, is now being used on Government Decision Support System. Currently, the system is processing the emulation over the abundant national macro-economy data. It presents the building of Visual Macroeconomic Emulating System on Statistic Data Warehouse (SDWES), including data extraction and check-up, data normalization, and a mechanism to support market analysis and forecast. The experiment shows this paper has a reference value for the application of net cluster technology in the construction process of economic data processing system which can also promote the overall performance substantially.

Research conducted at the Office of Archives and Library of Padang Pariaman Regency aims to find out the data processing system library and data archiving. All data processing is done is still very manual by using the document in writing and there is also a stacking of archives on the service. By utilizing library information systems and archives that will be applied to the Office of Archives and Library of Padang Pariaman Regency can improve the quality of service that has not been optimal. This research was made by using System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) which is better known as waterfall method. The first step taken on this method is to go directly to the field by conducting interviews and discussions. This information system will be able to assist the work of officers in terms of data processing libraries and facilitate in search data archives by presenting reports more accurate, effective and efficient.
