In this paper, we present a modified sixth order convergent Newton-type method for solving nonlinear equations. It is free from second derivatives, and requires three evaluations of the functions and two evaluations of derivatives per iteration. Hence the efficiency index of the presented method is 1.43097 which is better than that of classical Newton’s method 1.41421. Several results are given to illustrate the advantage and efficiency the algorithm.

A new subclass Σp,q(α,A,B) of meromorphic multivalent functions is defined by means of a q-difference operator. Some properties of the functions in this new subclass, such as sufficient and necessary conditions, coefficient estimates, growth and distortion theorems, radius of starlikeness and convexity, partial sums and closure theorems, are investigated.

AbstractRecently, S. K. Mahato and P. D. Srivastava [A class of sequence spaces defined by 𝑙-fractional difference operator, preprint 2018, http://arxiv.org/abs/1806.10383] studied 𝑙-fractional difference sequence spaces. In this article, we intend to make a new approach to introduce and study some lambda 𝑙-fractional convergent, lambda 𝑙-fractional null and lambda 𝑙-fractional bounded sequences over 𝑛-normed spaces. Various algebraic and topological properties of these newly formed sequence spaces have been explored, and some inclusion relations concerning these spaces are also established. Finally, some characterizations of the newly formed sequence spaces are given.
