A study was conducted in 2011 and 2012 on a forest-steppe pasture in danger of pasture degradation to determine pasture yields and plant dominances from differences in micro-vegetation, with the aim of contributing to conservation and effective utilization. In the pastures, two different micro-vegetation located conterminously were observed based on their topographies and coverage by dominant plant species: Site 1 (S1) on a hillside where Poa or grasses and herbs equally dominated and Site 2 (S2) in a pocket where herbs predominated followed by Poa or grasses. Yield was significantly increased from June to August, but decreased by October in both the sites in each year (p < 0.001). The yields in S2 were significantly (p < 0.001) or tended to be higher than those in S1 during all study periods. The relative summed dominance ratio (R-SDR2) of the grass was higher in S2 (34.0%) than in S1 (18.4%), and that of herbs was higher in S1 (64.2%) than in S2 (51.8%). It was concluded that R-SDR2 is a potential indicator of pasture condition, and that the proportion of grasses increase while that of herbs decrease as a pasture is well conserved and/or managed.Mongolian Journal of Agricultural Sciences Vol.13(2) 2014: 117-123

ABSTRACTWeeds are plants that can live in the area of cultivation, to determine the type of weed species, identification activities must be carried out. Identification is carried out with the aim to see the diversity of a weed and what weeds are dominant in the pepper planting area (Piper nigrum L.) at Kampung Sukan Tengah, Kecamatan Sambaliung, Kabupaten Berau, Provinsi Kalimantan Timur. This research was conducted in 2017. The research method is by quadratic method, sampling is taken at area of ½ ha of pepper planting with a size of 1m x 1m as many as 20 sample plots. After weed samples are obtained, next is identifying weeds and Summed Dominance Ratio. The results of the study identified show there is 16 types of weeds, where there are 5 species of grass weeds, and there are 11 species of broadleaf weeds. Identifikasi dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk melihat keanekaragaman suatu gulma dan gulma apa saja yang dominan pada areal pertanaman lada (Piper nigrum L.) di Kampung Sukan Tengah, Kecamatan Sambaliung, Kabupaten Berau, Provinsi Kalimantan Timur.  Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tahun 2017. Metode penelitian yaitu dengan metode kuadrat, pengambilan sampel yaitu pada luasan ½ ha lahan areal pertanaman lada  dengan ukuran 1m x 1m sebanyak 20 petak contoh. Setelah didapatkan sampel gulma, selanjutnya yaitu mengidentifikasi gulma dan Summed Dominance Ratio. Hasil penelitian teridentifikasi ada 16 jenis gulma, dimana terdapat 5 spesies dari jenis gulma rerumputan, serta tercatat terdapat 11 spesies gulma berdaun lebar. Nilai Summed Dominance Ratio yang dominan yaitu Ageratum Conizoides sebesar 28.10%.Kata Kunci : Gulma, Identifikasi Gulma, Metode Kuadrat, keragaman gulma dan nilai SDR

Gulma merupakan tumbuhan pengganggu yang menyebabkan kerugian dalam kegiatan budidaya tanaman, untuk mengetahui jenis spesies gulma maka dilakukan identifikasi gulma. Identifikasi dalam penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis spesies gulma yang tumbuh dan jenis spesies gulma yang dominan tumbuh pada lahan budidaya tanaman hortikultura di Kecamatan Tarakan Tengah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober hingga November tahun 2020, di lahan budidaya tanaman hortikultura di Kecamatan Tarakan Tengah. Metode pengambilan sampel yaitu dengan metode acak menggunakan metode petak kuadrat dengan ukuran 1 x 1 m sebanyak 50 sampel. Sebelum melakukan identifikasi gulma, hal yang perlu dilakukan yaitu melakukan survey pendahuluan ke setiap kelurahan dan ketua kelompok tani untuk mendukung hasil identifikasi gulma. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 3 golongan gulma yaitu berdaun lebar sebanyak 22 jenis spesies, rerumputan sebanyak 7 jenis spesies dan teki-tekian sebanyak 3 jenis spesies. Gulma yang dominan dengan nilai Summed Dominance Ratio tertinggi yaitu Eleusin indica sebesar 17,25% yang termasuk gulma rumput
