The thermal desorption of benzene and methanol was measured using a derivatograph. Pore size distributions of active carbons were determined on the basis of thermogravimetric curves using the Kelvin equation. Total pore volumes and volumes of mesopores were compared with those derived from adsorption isotherms of benzene vapour.
