The work investigates a small full-scale wastewater treatment system comprised by the following units in series: UASB reactor, three polishing ponds and one coarse rock filter. The overall performance of the system is analyzed based on three years of monitoring using physical-chemical and biological parameters. Good organic matter, suspended solids and ammonia removal is achieved, together with excellent coliform removal (5.70 log units). Mean effluent concentrations of the main parameters are: BOD: 39 mg/L; COD: 109 mg/L; SS = 41 mg/L; ammonia: 10 mg/L; E. coli: 540 MPN/100 mL, indicating compliance with many regulations for effluent discharge and reuse. Main algal classes found in the ponds and final effluent were chlorophyta and euglenophyta. The system is completely unmechanized and has a relatively small total hydraulic retention time (less than 13 days), compared with most natural treatment processes. No sludge removal from the ponds and filter has been necessary so far.

A continued robust growth of Vietnamese apparel enterprises has showed that they do notplay the auxiliary but the main role in the national industry. However, in general, the apparel industryin Vietnam has not met the practical requirements. In order to provide overall performance evaluationand how to achieve efficiency systematically, this study utilizes DEA approach to determine theperformance levels of 15 Vietnamese apparel industry enterprises and assess their efficiency.Specifically, we have applied output oriented model, which aims to maximize outputs while the inputsproportions remain unchanged to realize DEA efficiency analysis. CCR-based and BCC-based modelsare utilized to get overall technical and pure technical efficiencies. The findings show that havingbusiness transactions with foreign partners, good labor cost management and effective inventorymanagement are the most prominent factors in distinguishing between efficient and inefficiententerprises in Vietnam's apparel industry. The study may be a useful tool for managers to improvetheir performances and effectively allocate resources.

We propose a sensor consisting of small-sized coils connected in series and a detection method for the sensor based on the iteration of the periodic time difference. The evaluation results are also presented and show the effectiveness of the proposed system. The target performance of the sensor is as follows: (i) a detection range from 0 to ±100 Nm, (ii) a hysteresis error of less than 1%, (iii) an angular-dependent noise of less than 2%, and (iv) a sensor drift of less than 2%. From the evaluation results, it is clear that these performance targets, as well as a sufficient response time, are realized.

Purpose Performance evaluation of airports or any other organisation is paramount for improving performance. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate and compare the performance of the three international airports in Libya (MJI, MRA, and LAQ airports) by considering five aspects of performance. Design/methodology/approach The considered aspects are airport service quality, airport operations, airport economy, safety and security, and environmental. The paper uses the grey system theory to assess these airports by summarizing the opinions of experts. Findings The finding of this study provides directions of the evaluated airports to take the correct actions to improve overall performance. Originality/value No literature has been found till date is to evaluate and compare the performance of the international airports in Libya.
