Ultra-high strength boron steel is widely used in a new hot stamping technology which is hot formed and die quenched simultaneously in order to obtain stamping parts with 1500MPa tensile strength or higher. Tensile experiments were carried out with ultra-high strength boron steel in a range of temperature 500°C~860°Cand strain rate 0.01/s~1/s with the thermal simulation testing machine Gleeble 3800, and the stress-strain curves were obtained. The influences of the deformation temperature and strain rate on the stress-strain curves were analyzed. The results show that hot behavior at elevated temperature of ultra-high strength boron steel consists of strain hardening and dynamic recovery mechanism, which can be accurately described by the mathematic model. Keywords: Ultra-high strength boron steel, hot stamping, hot flow behavior

Abstract Strenx Section 900 is a cold-formed steel section made of hot-rolled, high-strength steel with a minimum yield strength of 900 MPa (131 ksi). Its high strength combined with naturally stiff form enables construction of stronger and lighter structures. The common shape is a U-bend channel. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, tensile properties, and bend strength as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on forming, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SA-792. Producer or source: SSAB Swedish Steel Inc..

Abstract ALMAR 300 Alloy is a vacuum-melted ultra-high-strength steel. The annealed structure of this alloy is essentially a carbon-free, iron-nickel martensite (a relatively soft Rockwell C 28) that can be strengthened by cold working and elevated-temperature (900-950 F) age hardening to useful yield strengths as high as 300,000 psi. The unique properties of this alloy make it suitable for a wide range of section sizes. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SA-349. Producer or source: Allegheny Ludlum Corporation.

Abstract VASCO M-50 is a hardenable (martensitic), low-alloy high-speed steel developed primarily for high-strength, high-load components (such as bearings and gears) designed for elevated-temperature service. It may be used at temperatures up to 600 F; this is in contrast to AISI 52100 steel which may be used up to only 350 F. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and elasticity. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: TS-278. Producer or source: Teledyne Vasco.
