The GPS-X was used to simulate the denitrifying phosphorus removal in the A2/O.The improvement actions were obtained due to the simulation result. Moreover, the effect of denitrifying phosphorus removal was forecasted after the application of optimization and improvement. The prediction shows that: by adjusting the operating parameters such as SRT was adjusted to 15ds, the internal reflux ratio was adjusted to 300% and the external reflux ratio was adjusted to 100%,the denitrifying phosphorus removal in the A2/O was obviously increased. Therefore, the employment of GPS-X software in simulation and optimization can provide guidance for the operation and control in wastewater treatment plants.

Kinetic equations of soluble components are analyzed in an anaerobic/ anoxic sequencing batch reactor (A/A SBR) enriched with denitrifying phosphorus removing bacteria (DPB) sludge. Mathematical model is established for denitrifying phosphorus removal process. The model is based on the simplification of the metabolic model for biological phosphorus removal by DPB. A proper set of kinetic parameters was calculated from the data obtained in the batch tests. The model was subsequently applied for the simulation of cycle behavior of soluble components in the A/A SBR. The results of the simulation indicated that the model can predict the concentration of each component for denitrifying phosphorus removal successfully.

Separating NDPAOs from the continuous flow double sludge nitrosation denitrifying phosphorus removal system, purifying and preliminary identifying them, discussing the effect of NO2--N concentration on the performance of denitrifying phosphorus accumulating of NDPAOs by the way of pure training. The results showed that the identified organism Veillonella could treat NO2--N as electronic receptors when the NO2--N concentration was 60mg/L; when the NO2--N concentration raised to 65mg/L, phosphorus accumulating was not normal; the denitrifying was abnormal while the NO2--N concentration further raised to 70mg/L; when the NO2--N concentration was 80mg/L, characteristics of phosphorus uptake and denitrifying had suffered serious inhibition.
