Improving the corrosion resistance of epoxy resin coatings has become the focus of current research. This study focuses on synthesizing a functionalized silane coupling agent (2-(3,4-epoxycyclohexyl)ethyl triethoxysilane) to modify the surface of graphene oxide to address nanomaterial agglomeration and enhance the coating resistance of the epoxy resin coating to corrosion by filling the coating with functionalized graphene oxide. Functionalized graphene oxide and coatings filled with functionalized graphene oxide were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and transmission electron microscopy. The corrosion performance of each coating was studied by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and a salt spray test. Results showed that the incorporation of functionalized graphene oxide enhances the corrosion protection performance of the epoxy composite coating, and the composite coating exhibited the best anticorrosion performance when the amount of functionalized graphene oxide was 0.7 wt %.

The new paint of environment-friendly was fabricated that TDE-85 and other materials incorporation into epoxy resin enhanced tenacity, strength, thermal stability, humidity resistance and corrosion resistance due to its inherent flexibility. The paint’s viscosity is less 1000mPa·s in 25°C, can spread directly. Result of the corrosion velocity test indicates the coating’s corrosion velocity in 3.5% salt-liquor less than 0.02 g/m2h. The bending and shearing strength of EW-200 buildup epoxy resin is 649MPa and 57MPa in 25°C. The strength is stable after placing -30°Cfor 12h and 65°C for 12h. The scanning electro photomicrograph shows the type of failure breaking is a tough fracture.

By referring to the domestic and foreign researches on color anti-skid pavement, the composition of epoxy resin coating material for color antiskid pavement is designed. The purpose of the experiment is to analyze the effect of nano-modified epoxy resin coating by adding 2.5% nano-organic montmorillonite modifier to the existing color anti-skid pavement surface material. Test and compare the change of mechanical properties of nano-modified epoxy resin coating binder before and after nano-modified. Then the effect of nano-modification is analyzed.
