Abstract In paper problem concerning modification of grey cast iron EN-GJL-200 Grade, which is realized mainly by intensification of liquid metal movement in horizontal continuous casting mould containing electromagnetic stirrer is presented. The range of studies contains influence of electromagnetic field on morphology of graphite and usable properties i.e. tensile strength, hardness and machinability. Moreover the influence of velocity of ingot pulling on microstructure was analyzed. The results of studies and their analysis show possibility of improvement in quality of grey cast iron continuous ingot firstly in result of elimination of hard spots in structure by properly selection of velocity of ingot pulling and second in result of unification of size, shape and distribution of flake graphite by application of electromagnetic field.

The literature of organizational structure design is relatively rich along with conceptual and complex patterns. This complexity arising from the number of elements and numerous relations in addition to the nature of variables. Thereby, the lack of operational decision-making models is felt to propose adequate structural designs in practice. In this article, the researchers employ a fuzzy multi attribute decision making model (FMADM) to select the most suitable organizational structure based on expert’s judgments and by deploying contextual dimensions of the organization. Since the organizational changes especially in the structural levels are along with resistances among involved staffs, the implementation of this model is a supportive tool in addition to help the managers to make a qualified decision and change.

In order to choose a reasonable treatment method for the soft soil foundation, the main factors which affect the soft soil foundation, including technical feasibility, economic rationality and environmental effect, are analyzed. Based on these key factors, a two-level evaluation factors structure for the selection of fare collection pattern is constructed. Taking optimal treatment method as the goal, key factors as attributes, and available methods as alternatives, a multi-attribute decision-making model is set. Under the situation of one case, the model is applied to determine the most suitable treatment method for the case. The best choice is deep mixing pile. The results show that the model is effective and reliable.

Electrode D608 is prone to pore, slag eye, sonim, crack and misrun etc. in the Welding process , through improving formula of electrode D608 to enhance its welding performance. Joining a small amount of tungsten, ferromolybdenum, ferroboron and sepiolite etc materials in electrode formula of D608, wiping off graphite, white clay and aluminite powder, also reducing usage amount of ferrosilicon, obtaining a bran-new electrode formula X-D608, which also make an analysis of welding performance and welding organization for new electrode in grey cast iron, finding that welding seam structure of new formula electrode became thinner, pores, cracks and other defects significantly reduced.
