The 2H model that resembles the Higgs sector of the minimal N=1 SUSY version of the standard model is considered and the contribution of the charged Higgs boson to the rate of the b→sl+l− transition is studied as a function of the free parameters MH, Mt and the squared two Higgs doublet v.e.v. ratio r. It is shown that this process can be suppressed by the charged Higgs boson contribution and that in general it is not very sensitive to its presence unless (SUSY-forbidden) values of r>1 are assumed.

This review starts with a brief introduction to the charged Higgs boson (H±) in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). It then discusses the prospects of a relatively light H± boson search via top quark decay at Tevatron/LHC, and finally a heavy H± boson search at LHC. The viable channels for H± search are identified in both the cases, with particular emphasis on the H±→τν decay channel. The effects of NLO QCD correction in the SM as well as the MSSM are discussed briefly.

We investigate an extension of the Standard Model with one additional triplet of scalar bosons. Altogether, the model contains four Higgs bosons. We analyze the associated production of the doubly charged scalar with the Standard Model gauge bosons and the remaining Higgs bosons of the model, which are: the light (SM) and heavy neutral scalars and a singly charged scalar. We estimate, in the context of the present (HL–LHC) and future (FCC–hh) hadron colliders, the most promising processes in which a single produced doubly charged Higgs boson is involved.

We calculate the box diagrams of the [Formula: see text] system which involve W boson, charged Higgs boson or gluino with nonvanishing external quark momenta in the minimal supersymmetric four-generation standard model. We find that the contribution of the gluino box diagram is negligible compared to those of other diagrams, and that the charged Higgs box diagram dominates over the W boson box by a factor of 2–5 for most of the parameter ranges. This means that [Formula: see text] mixing in this model will be much bigger than that of the minimal standard model. When the ratio v2/v1 of the vev’s of the two neutral Higgs fields is smaller than ~0.6 or bigger than ~30, the dominance of the charged Higgs box becomes more significant.

Abstract The presence of charged Higgs bosons is a generic prediction of multiplet extensions of the Standard Model (SM) Higgs sector. Focusing on the Two-Higgs-Doublet-Model (2HDM) with type I and lepton-specific Yukawa sectors, we discuss the charged Higgs boson collider phenomenology in the theoretically and experimentally viable parameter space. While almost all existing experimental searches at the LHC target the fermionic decays of charged Higgs bosons, we point out that the bosonic decay channels — especially the decay into a non-SM-like Higgs boson and a W boson — often dominate over the fermionic channels. Moreover, we revisit two genuine BSM effects on the properties of the discovered Higgs boson — the charged Higgs contribution to the diphoton rate and the Higgs decay to two light Higgs bosons — and their implication for the charged Higgs boson phenomenology. As main result of the present paper, we propose five two-dimensional benchmark scenarios with distinct phenomenological features in order to facilitate the design of dedicated LHC searches for charged Higgs bosons decaying into a W boson and a light, non-SM-like Higgs boson.
