Promoting the construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area is a major policy decision and national strategy made by the central government of China, which significantly supports the Belt and Road Initiative and maintains the long-term prosperity for the whole country. As an important part of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, Foshan needs to find its own position and direction in order to accelerate the joint development with other cities through five measures.

A new era in the development of multi-airport regions (MARs) has been in China, especially in the construction of global urban areas such as the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). In order to better understand competition and provide significant advice to support sustainable development of Chinese MARs, this paper takes the GBA-MAR as an example, and then explores the competition between airports in this multi-airport region based on route level and its impact on passenger airport choice using three liner models. According to our findings, competition is concentrated on a few air routes in the Northeast–East Coastal region and the Asia-Pacific region, in which all three airports operate. Although the domestic market of the GBA-MAR has been relatively mature, the international air transport market is still left with considerable room, which is also reflected in connections to the world’s cities and tourist destinations. In addition, the research also found that different airport brands created by route type significantly affected passenger airport choice. Overall, the study revealed that whether from a supply or demand aspect, competition between airports in a multi-airport region—not just airline competition in a single airport—is an important topic.

Strawberry cultivated in Japan widely known for its sweet and soft nature which regards as premium fruits in Japan. The objective of the present study was to give an overview of strawberry cultivation, and postharvest processing in selected manufacturers and farms in Nagano, and Hokkaido, Japan. The information was obtained through an interview session, and questionnaire distribution. Case study approach was used to obtain data. The cultivation of strawberries in Japan at the selected study area was mainly planted in the greenhouse under controlled temperature to maintain the quality and yield of strawberries. The strawberries in all the selected farm used manual grading process during the strawberry picking process. Processing of strawberries into other products was often done in small-scale by farmers and sold directly from the farm and distributed to other local seller and supermarket which portrayed “from farm to fork” practice. Strawberries processed into products such as jam, drinks and ingredients in bakery goods were labelled as premium products sold in special shops in Japan. Japan’s Strawberries and strawberrybased products produced by the larger manufacturer were able to penetrate the Hong Kong, Malaysia and Thailand market.

This study aims to analyze the development trend of the manufacturing industry of the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area (from 2008 to 2018) by constructing an evaluation system. On the basis of push–pull–mooring theory, we analyze these factors by using an entropy and cluster model. The results show the following: (1) Technological development had an obvious spatial distribution pattern of core regional radiation, while others did not. (2) Economic development was based on the city’s existing industrial development system, while environmental development depended on governmental policies. (3) Compared with the environmental factor, the development trends of the economic and technological factors were more similar. Lastly, we provide four strategies for the development of the manufacturing industry in different cities.
