Blended learning has been recognized as the most promising emerging trend in higher education, offering new capabilities, as it may significantly enhance the interaction and communication between instructors and students. The challenge of blended learning is to balance weaknesses and strengths of face-to-face and e-learning teaching environments and effectively combining them to provide enhanced learning capabilities. Its success should benefit instructor-student relation. To this end, the authors adopt ecosystem-based approach to model the blended learning environment and identify its constituents, i.e., instructors, students, consultants, technology. and their evolving relations. The proposed concept was utilized to explore the potential of blended learning in the academic environment. A study was conducted at Harokopio University of Athens over a period of three years to explore the relations between blended learning ecosystem constituents, focusing on instructor -student relation.

At present, Higher education sector in Egypt plays an important role. The exponential change in technology initiates improving its services. As a result of the increased pressure to improve competitiveness, and due to COVID19 circumstances, academic institutions are motivated to adopt a system perspective, elevating strategies towards achieving E-learning. This research is mainly targeting exploring practices of E-learning in higher education, its influence on enhancing the education process and in-house customers' satisfaction (students). There’s a dissimilarity between E-learning teaching and the traditional teaching, there are many debates. Creating effective E-learning environment has become a top priority for higher academic institutions. The parameters of the E-learning system effectiveness are not revealed. The main objective of this research is to find out whether the online teaching method compared to the traditional teaching method, in different colleges of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT); will achieve a higher quality level than that created using the traditional education approach in specific. The research aims at exploring students’ perceptions towards E-Learning teaching method & traditional teaching method concerning learning environment satisfaction, quality of achievements and performance. The research approaches adopted in this study includes executing an experimental study using a quasi-experiment design to direct the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime transport (AASTMT) to different knowledge bases in instruction technology. Moreover, the findings from this research would provide evidence and add to the body of knowledge in higher education. The methodology of the research is seeking to apply E-learning to manage development and improve performance, as a starting point to assess the effect of applying E-learning on enhancing the education process. This research is the first in higher education in Egypt to hold a comparison between teaching methods and study the effect of this combination of dimensions together and analyze the E-Learning teaching method effect on enhancing education and improving quality. Finally, the research will elaborate the problems faced to improve the E-Learning teaching method as a prerequisite for higher education since the beginning of COVID19 pandemic.

<span>Blended learning, using e-learning tools to supplement existing on campus learning, often incorporates asynchronous computer conferencing as a means of augmenting knowledge construction among students. This case study reports findings about levels of knowledge construction amongst adult postgraduate students in six asynchronous computer conferences in a blended learning environment. The aim is to document and understand the kinds of task related postings in asynchronous computer conferencing that foster knowledge construction. The tool for analysis is an adaptation of the model by Veerman and Veldhuis-Diermanse (2001). Data were collected from</span><em>Quickplace</em><span>, the e-learning system at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, with 22 adult postgraduate students enrolled in the Masters of Science in Human Resource Development who were attending a 14-week course on Cognition and Learning. The results showed that the students were active in constructing knowledge but limited to seeking and giving opinions among peers and knowledge telling. The prevalence of low level knowledge construction points to the need for the e-learning facilitator to encourage the students to go beyond regurgitating facts of what they have learned. More guidance should be given to the students to refrain from mere knowledge telling. Results suggest that there are blended learning benefits for these students as they are given improved opportunities to learn outside the classroom.</span>

AbstractE-learning systems are widely deployed in higher education institutions but sustaining students’ continued use of e-learning systems remains challenging. This study investigated the relationship between e-learning engagement, flow experience and learning management system continuance via a mediated moderation interaction model. The context of the study is a Moodle LMS supporting a blended learning environment. After controlling age and gender, a PLS analysis of 92 students’ samples with a reflective flow construct explained 49% of the variance in the research model. The analysis shows that flow mediates e-engagement and perceived ease of use with a direct positive impact on e-learning system continuance. Flow has an indirect impact through perceived usefulness on e-learning system continuance. However, the direct impact of flow on system continuance weakens as e-learning engagement increases. This finding may help to explain the mixed and inconsistent impact of flow in the e-learning system continuance literature. The dual effect of flow suggests that instructors must carefully balance pedagogical decisions intended to heighten flow experience to generate positive learning outcomes through e-engagement and its consequence of reduced impact on continued system use.

Paper shows the case study of transforming traditional learning environment (based on teacher-centred instruction), to the blended learning environment (based on student-centred instruction) using Open Source Learning Management Systems, like Moodle. Special attention was on the advantages in usage of this tool in educating LIS professionals. Authors try to investigate whether new technologies help and motivate students master the necessary knowledge, especially when applied to the mandatory courses. Differences in motivation and access to the studies between the full-time and part-time students are also compared. Data fo theevaluation have been gathered through numerous satisfaction surveys and interviews with the students of Department of Information Sciences, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb, both full-time and part-time, as well as through the analysis of the data from the faculty’s e-learning system.

This research focused on the effectiveness of e-learning users in the process of learning and teaching in higher education. It discussed the implementation of information and communication technology in the modern teaching and learning activities in higher education institution. E-Learning System is a learning system which is used as a means of teaching and learning that is conducted without having face to face method directly between teachers with students with the subject matter and related resources. The purpose of this research was to develop a blended learning system using e-learning as a learning tool that facilitated students in learning. To achieve the objectives of research, this research used a quantitative approach to collect data using the pre and post tests and questionnaires. The samples in this study were students of Islamic economy which consisted of two classes, with a total of 50 students who enrolled in the study. The results showed that the differences of average score of pre-and post-test was-29.43720. While the t-test that tests Ho: pre-test = post-test gives a value of t = -37.43720 with a degree of freedom of 49. While the p-value for the two-sided test of 0,000 is smaller than α = 0.05. This data approves that the statistical hypothesis Ho: pre-test = post-test is rejected, meaning that the average pre-test and post-test scores were significantly different. Furthermore, the homogeneity test of the data If the x² count <x² table means the variable data variance is homogeneous. Based on the results of the application of Microsoft excel to calculate the unknown variance the combined sample = 87.24022 and B = 190.1902 unit price, and calculate the value of x ² = x ² 0545, value table on α = 0.05 significant level is 3,841. So x ² = count 0545 x ² = table < 3,841, therefore it can be inferred that Ho which was accepted was homogeneous sample data. The findings of this study can be used to recommend the effective ways of teaching and process which use e-learning that can enhance the learning outcomes of students in higher education. The implication of this research is to encourage teachers to use technology and e-learning to facilitate students with technology to improve academic learning results.

The implementation of e-learning models in higher education have been tested widely, in order to discover their flexibility in research to time, place, students, courses, and other diverse conditions. This paper resulted from testing the implementation of an SBPBL model. This model maximizes shared e-learning resources in project based blended learning. This research used quantitative research design, with Research and Development using the ADDIE model in an Operating System course. Data were collected by questionnaires, interviews, and observation, then analyzed descriptively. Validity, practicality and effectives of the model were confirmed. Therefore, it is suitable to apply this blended learning system in such course.
