Contemporary trends in popular music incorporate timbres, formal structures, and production techniques borrowed from Electronic Dance Music (EDM). The musical surface demonstrates this clearly to the listener; less obvious are the modifications made to formal prototypes used in rock and popular music. This article explains a new formal section common to collaborative Pop/EDM songs called the Dance Chorus. Following the verse and chorus, a Dance Chorus is an intensified version of the chorus that retains the same harmony and contains the hook of the song, which increases memorability for the audience. As the name implies, the Dance Chorus also incorporates and acknowledges the embodiment performed in this section.

Abstract Previous studies have shown that the accuracy of Genomic Estimated Breeding Value (GEBV) as a predictor of future performance is higher than the traditional Estimated Breeding Value (EBV). The purpose of this study was to estimate the potential advantage of selection on GEBV for litter size (LS) compared to selection on EBV in the Canadian swine dam line breeds. The study included 236 Landrace and 210 Yorkshire gilts born in 2017 which had their first farrowing after 2017. GEBV and EBV for LS were calculated with data that was available at the end of 2017 (GEBV2017 and EBV2017, respectively). De-regressed EBV for LS in July 2019 (dEBV2019) was used as an adjusted phenotype. The average dEBV2019 for the top 40% of sows based on GEBV2017 was compared to the average dEBV2019 for the top 40% of sows based on EBV2017. The standard error of the estimated difference for each breed was estimated by comparing the average dEBV2019 for repeated random samples of two sets of 40% of the gilts. In comparison to the top 40% ranked based on EBV2017, ranking based on GEBV2017 resulted in an extra 0.45 (±0.29) and 0.37 (±0.25) piglets born per litter in Landrace and Yorkshire replacement gilts, respectively. The estimated Type I errors of the GEBV2017 gain over EBV2017 were 6% and 7% in Landrace and Yorkshire, respectively. Considering selection of both replacement boars and replacement gilts using GEBV instead of EBV can translate into increased annual genetic gain of 0.3 extra piglets per litter, which would more than double the rate of gain observed from typical EBV based selection. The permutation test for validation used in this study appears effective with relatively small data sets and could be applied to other traits, other species and other prediction methods.

Tubers of yellow nut sedge (Cyperus esculentus L.) were collected from four farm fields representing three soil types in southern Ontario in November of 1974 or 1975. These fields contained from 760 to 8,484 tubers/m2 in the top 40 cm of soil. Tubers extracted from these soils failed to sprout following 6 wk of storage under dry conditions, but sprouting approached 100% if previously stored under cool, moist conditions. Cool temperatures during dry storage for 90 wk reduced subsequent sprouting. Tubers sprouted as well in the greenhouse as in petri plates in a germination chamber. Root growth averaged 2 cm/day in glass-lined root boxes and tuber initiation commenced 90 days after planting. Tuber production was greatest under a short day length of 12 h or less, while shoot and root growth was stimulated by a long photoperiod.

Risk disclosure practices have received increasing attention in the wake of the 2008 global financial crisis. This study investigated possible determinants relating to the composition of the board committee responsible for risk management, the frequency of board risk committee meetings and whether the company employs a chief risk officer, which could manifest in an enhanced level of risk-related disclosure. Based on the possible determinants identified in the literature, nine hypotheses were developed in order to investigate which of these determinants relate to an enhanced level of risk disclosure by the selected companies. The first required integrated reports of non-financial companies in the Top 40 index of the JSE Securities Exchange were investigated in this study. Regarding one area of investigation, namely the level of risk management disclosure, it was found that the disclosure of companies whose risk committee met more frequently and the disclosure of companies that employed a chief risk officer, were of a relatively higher standard. With regard to the other area of investigation, namely the level of risk identification and mitigation disclosure, no clearly significant determinant of enhanced disclosure was identified.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze and obtain empirical evidence about the financial performance of Jayapura regency government in fiscal year 2010-2014, measured from the level of independence of local, regional dependency rate, the level of fiscal decentralization, the level of effectiveness and efficiency of financial management and fiscal capacity Jayapura regency in fiscal year 2010-2014, measured through share and growth Local Revenue. The results obtained from this study is that the financial capacity of Jayapura regency, measured from the level of the region's autonomy in fiscal year 2010-2014 included in the criteria are lacking, and the level of dependence of the region in that period qualifies as a very high criteria instructive relationship patterns. The ratio of fiscal decentralization is still lacking, the level of effectiveness of regional revenue in 2010-2014 classified in the category of very effective with a ratio of regional revenue collection efficiency is very efficient. The financial capacity of the district of Jayapura in this case the level of independence and dependence of the area and the level of fiscal decentralization is considered good if the government of Jayapura District has been able to raise the percentage of acceptance of regional revenue to be in the top 40% of the fund balance, because then the Local Revenue will contribute greater of the total regional expenditure. Keywords: financial capacity of local, regional autonomy, regional dependence, fiscal decentralization, effectiveness, efficiency

Stack Overflow is the most popular programming question and answer community that continuously receives a large number of questions every day. To ensure the quality of questions, the community grants privileges for the moderators and a group of experienced users to review the quality of questions and close the low-quality ones (e.g. duplicate or irrelevant questions). The review process is a typical crowdsourcing job that relies on users’ volunteer participation, and the current practices of closing questions in Stack Overflow face two aspects of challenges: (1) an obvious increase in both the absolute number and the percentage of “closed” questions; (2) a considerable decrease in participation willingness of experienced users to close questions. In order to solve the problem, we present a novel model of user willingness for reviewing and voting questions by incorporating four types of user activity history, including questions, answers, comments and votes of closing questions. Then we propose an automatic recommendation method based on the model to assign experienced users proper questions, to utilize the forces of them to close questions. The evaluation shows that the successful recommendation probability in the top 5, top 10, top 20, top 30, top 40, top 50 users are 48.23%, 58.93%, 68.83%, 74.27%, 78.13% and 81%, respectively.
