AbstractTsuno and Nodera proposed a new variant of the GMRES(m) algorithm. Their algorithm is referred to as the GMRES(≤ mmax) algorithm and performs the restart process adaptively, considering the distribution of the zeros of the residual polynomial. However, unless the zeros of the residual polynomial are distributed uniformly, mass is always chosen and their algorithm becomes almost the same as the GMRES(m) algorithm with m = mmax. In this paper, we include a convergence test for the residual norm in the GMRES(≤ mmax) algorithm and propose a new restarting technique based on two criteria. Even if the distribution of zeros does not become uniform, the restart can be performed by using the convergence test of the residual norm. Numerical examples simulated on a Compaq Beowulf computer demonstrate that the proposed technique accelerates the convergence of the GMRES(≤ mmax) algorithm.

In this paper, we present new iterative method for solving nonlinear equations with fourth-order convergence. This method is free from second and higher order derivatives. We find this iterative method by using Newton's theorem for inverse function and approximating the indefinite integral in Newton's theorem by the linear combination of harmonic mean rule and Wang formula. Numerical examples show that the new method competes with Newton method, Weerakoon - Fernando method and Wang method.Journal of Institute of Science and TechnologyVol. 21, No. 1, 2016, page :86-89

Abstract. In this article, a modified variant of the Affective Simon Task (AST; De Houwer & Eelen, 1998 ) is presented as a measure of implicit evaluations of single stimuli. In the AST, the words “good” or “bad” have to be given as responses depending on the color of the stimuli. The AST was combined with an evaluation task to increase the salience of the valence of the presented stimuli. Experiment 1 investigated evaluations of schematic faces showing emotional expressions. In Experiment 2 we measured the valence of artificial stimuli that acquired valence in a game context during the experiment. Both experiments confirm the validity of the modified AST. The results also revealed a dissociation between explicit and implicit evaluations.

The paper deals with development of a general theory of the firm. It discusses the demand for such a theory, reviews existing approaches to its generalization, and offers a new variant of general theory of the firm based on the contract theory. The theory is based on minimization of opportunistic behaviour determined by the material structure of production (a classification of ten structural factors is offered). This framework is applied to the analysis of three boundaries problems (boundaries of the job, boundaries of the unit, boundaries of the firm) and five integration dilemmas (vertical, horizontal, functional, related, and conglomerate).

The present paper has been focused mainly towards understanding of the various parameters affecting the transport of conservative solutes in horizontally semi-infinite porous media. A model is presented for simulating one-dimensional transport of solute considering the porous medium to be homogeneous, isotropic and adsorbing nature under the influence of periodic seepage velocity. Initially the porous domain is not solute free. The solute is initially introduced from a sinusoidal point source. The transport equation is solved analytically by using Laplace Transformation Technique. Alternate as an illustration; solutions for the present problem are illustrated by numerical examples and graphs.

AbstractA general class of implicit difference methods for nonlinear parabolic functional differential equations with initial boundary conditions of the Neumann type is constructed. Convergence results are proved by means of consistency and stability arguments. It is assumed that given functions satisfy nonlinear estimates of Perron type with respect to functional variables. Differential equations with deviated variables and differential integral problems can be obtained from a general model by specializing given operators. The results are illustrated by numerical examples.

Abstract The scalar boundary value problem (BVP) for a nonlinear second order differential equation on the semiaxis is considered. Under some natural assumptions it is shown that on an arbitrary finite grid there exists a unique three-point exact difference scheme (EDS), i.e., a difference scheme whose solution coincides with the projection of the exact solution of the given differential equation onto the underlying grid. A constructive method is proposed to derive from the EDS a so-called truncated difference scheme (n-TDS) of rank n, where n is a freely selectable natural number. The n-TDS is the basis for a new adaptive algorithm which has all the advantages known from the modern IVP-solvers. Numerical examples are given which illustrate the theorems presented in the paper and demonstrate the reliability of the new algorithm.

The purpose of the research: system retrofit of suborder Schistosomatidа in reliance on their morfo-biological distinctions. Materials and methods. Samples of adult and 5 species of larvas have been collected and tested: Schistosoma turkestanicum Skryabin, 1913, Bilharziella polonica (Kowalewsky, 1899), Trichobilharzia ocellata (La Valette, 1854), Dendritobilharzia loossi Skryabin, 1924 and Gigantobilharzia acotylea Odhner, 1910. Adult phases of trematode have been identified in accordance to common methods. Identification of cercaria larva produced by water living shell-fish (Lymnaeidae, Planorbidae, Physidae, Melanoididae) has been carried out according to indicators. Current system of trematode suborder Schistosomatidа - vertebrate animals and man parasites are analyzed. Results and discussion. New variant of system of trematode suborder Schistosomatidа order is proposed. Schistosomatida morfo-biological distinctions and biocycles are taken as a basis. Two families are distinguished in this suborder: Schistosomatidae and Bilharziellidae, which represent parasites of warm-blooded vertebrate animals. There are two families of Sanguinicolidae and Spirorchiidae in suborder Sanguinicolida, which consist of fish and reptile parasites respectively. For Schistosomatida order the new underclass Schistosomatidea is founded. Sanguinicolida order is left as the part of Digenea underclass consisting of androgynous fluke.
