В статье анализируется роль Осетинского историкофилологи ческого общества в становлении научной школы осетиноведения и выделении хетагуроведения в качестве специального направления. Рассматривается на чальный этап самоорганизации Общества как научного центра и выясняется за слуга членов Общества в формировании научных принципов поиска, сохранения, изучения и популяризации творческого наследия Коста Хетагурова. The article analyzes the role of the Ossetian Historical and Philological Society in the development of a scienti c school of Ossetian studies and the identi cation of Khetagurov studies as a special direction. The initial stage of the self organization of the Society as a scienti c center is examined and its merit in shaping the scienti c principles of the search, preservation, study and popularization of Kosta Khetagurovs creative heritage is shown.
