We report on the first synthesis of a highly crystalline donor–acceptor low band gap block copolymer by using diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) as a low band gap block and perylenebisimide (PDI) as a strong acceptor block.
Synthesis of promising new composition low band gap small molecules based on the push–pull (donor–acceptor) system, which displayed power conversion efficiency of up to 3.24%.
Two D–A copolymers, F1 and F2, with fluorene and thiazole units were substituted, respectively, on a thiadiazoloquinoxaline (TDQ) unit to enhance the electron-accepting strength of TDQ.
