An azido-based fluorescent probe was developed for the sensitive and selective detection of H2S with a red emission and a large Stokes shift. The probe was successfully applied to detect H2S both in aqueous solution and in living cells.

A vinethene-based fluorescent probe has been developed for the sensitive and selective detection of Hg2+ with a low detection limit, a red emission and a large Stokes shift. The probe has been successfully applied to detect Hg2+ in aqueous solutions, living cells and organisms.

A phthalimide-based fluorescent probe for H2S with a large Stokes shift has been developed. This probe displayed good selectivity and high sensitivity. Imaging intracellular H2S by using this probe was successfully achieved in living cells.
