A non-fullerene acceptor with a high relative dielectric constant (εr) over 9 is developed. It offers an efficiency of 8.5%, which is the best result for organic solar cells employing high εr materials. Further research should focus on morphology optimization to make high εr practically useful in devices.

In order to obtain the high dielectric constant and low loss materials by using the two main methods for synergy, the 3-phases TiO2/(PVDF+Fe3O4) composites with the fixed Fe3O4 fraction have been prepared by using a simple blending and hot-molding technique. The dielectric measurement results show that no synergistic effect but a cancellation effect has been found here, corresponding to the decrease of dielectric constant and conductivity. The value of the relative dielectric constant dropped to the original level of polymer matrix. The reasons for the counter result are present here. It is helpful and reference for the proper choice for multiphase composite system.

With advances in technology and machinery manufacturing technology, the satellite navigation system plays a more and more important role in the modern society. People demand increasingly for satellite navigation. Satellite navigation is increasingly used in military systems, so military and civilian value is higher and higher. For the satellite signal reception, microstrip antenna plays an indispensable role. As the mechanical design of microstrip antenna is simple, easy manufacture, low cost, smaller size, lighter weight, with the overall unity of active devices and integrated circuit, etc. The successful development of high dielectric constant ceramic material enables the area of microstrip antenna to narrow several times. Microwave dielectric ceramics material has some merits such as high dielectric constant, thermal stability and excellent characteristics of small dielectric loss. Different dielectric constant substrate can be prepared through changing and doping modification of process parameters, including the relative dielectric constant of microwave dielectric ceramics for more than a few dozens which can be used for different microwave frequencies. Those are important reasons for promoting the development of microstrip antenna.

The composites have a great use in practical application. In common, the phases in composite have different relative dielectric constant and in order to reveal how the phases with different permittivity affect the composite’s dielectric properties, the experiments were carried out using inorganic and organic composite with different dielectric constant phases to make that clear. The barium niobate-based SiO2system glass–ceramic and fillers-epoxy resin composites were chosen, and the dielectric properties were tested to compare the difference of those composites. The results show that the existence of high dielectric constant phases in composites can improve the permittivity of composites and make the composites present ferroelectric properties, while the dielectric loss can also increased, and the difference in dielectric constant of the phases can decrease the dielectric breakdown strength.
