This paper reports a series of acceptor–donor–acceptor-type small molecules based on an oligothiophene–phenylene core with three different electron-accepting terminal groups—dicyanovinyl, cyano-rhodanine, and cyano-indanone, respectively—for application to flexible ambipolar organic field-effect transistors.

Six donor–acceptor (D–A) conjugated polymers, P1–P6, based on the novel electron acceptors bis-isoindigo (BIID) and bis-azaisoindigo (BAID), were designed and synthesized for solution-processed organic field-effect transistors.

We reported a one-step synthesis of a high-performance acceptor–donor–acceptor small molecule based on indacenodithieno[3,2-b]thiophene (IDTT) as the donor unit and benzothiadiazole (BT) as the acceptor unit.
