Cyber threats pose an increasing threat to energy objects. It is essential to ensure the cybersecurity of automatic control systems, such as relay protection devices (RP), devices of regime control (RC) and emergency control (EC), automated control systems. At the same time, the issues of cybersecurity include not only the problem of hacker attacks, but also the whole complex of problems relating to adequate functioning of cybernetic systems in the power industry. The authors propose a methodical approach to the analysis of the structure of automatic means of regime and emergency control in terms of their impact on the reliability and survivability of power systems (EPS), taking into account the known threats to cybersecurity.

At the same time, the issues of cybersecurity include not only the problem of hacker attacks, but also the whole complex of problems relating to adequate functioning of cybernetic systems in the power industry. The authors consider two of the most acute aspects of cybersecurity in the energy systems of the future in the era of total digitalization: large-scale prepared cyber attacks on the electrical power systems (EPS) as a whole and large-scale cyber attacks on distribution networks with small-scale generation facilities and active consumers.

The expediency of using a variable frequency drive for pumping units was repeatedly proved both from the point of view of the economic component and the technological one. However, the construction of automatic control systems for the operating parameters of pumping stations is mainly based on maintaining the pressure setpoint and does not include monitoring the efficiency of the aggregates working in the group and, the more so, its regulation. In this paper, an algorithm is developed for the energy efficient management of centrifugal pump units, which allows not only maintaining the pressure setpoint, but also optimizing their efficiency.

Sustainable development of industry is closely related with tries to automate industrial processes in all possible ways. Recent advances in automated control systems have led to decreasing the cost of hardware and energy consumption. This article describes examples of soft sensors using in various industries. The main advantages of soft sensors are low cost, flexibility and versatility. In addition, the soft sensors are environmentally friendly as they significantly reduce the amount of equipment and do not require utilization. Despite these benefits, there are some problems with using them. First problem consists in what information and how needs to be measured to use received data in calculation of another virtual data. Second problem is using proper software and the time of mathematical calculations. The goal of the soft sensors is generation of valid virtual data for the controller to increase the accuracy and quality of the automated control. The article is of interest from the point of view of possibilities to applicate modern technology in solving various tasks of automated control.

In connection with cases of incorrect operation of high-speed relay protection devices (RPD) in case of short circuits outside their range, the issue of replacing current transformers (CT) of class P with more ad-vanced current converters is relevant. The article shows that the decision to replace existing class P CTs with CTs with a non-magnetic gap should be made taking into account the probability of saturation of the magnetic cores of the latter in a transient short-circuit mode, as well as an increase in their dimensions compared to class P CTs. The issue of using optoelectronic current converters should be resolved after the latter are put into mass production, taking into account the difficulty of integrating the latter with the RPDs implemented using an Electromechanical base. In many cases, the correct functioning of high-speed RPDs without replacing existing CTs of class P can provide the following measures: the use of algorithms that increase the stability of the oper-ation of high-speed RPDs when the CT is saturated; taking into account in the calculations of the settings the rectangular characteristic of the CT magnetization in transient modes and the permissible deceleration of pro-tections under the condition of the dynamic stability of electric power systems; refusal to use CT connection groups (physical sum of currents, delta and star).

Abstract Every day the architecture expands its borders and opportunities. In meeting the challenges of commercial office buildings designing, which include not only the aesthetic and functional aspects, the efficiency problem of their exploitation becomes more actual, including resource conservation, energy efficiency, environmental friendliness, environmental protection, safety (the fire, terrorism, natural disaster, etc.), comfortable working conditions, reduced operating expenses and economy. The regulatory and legal framework that ensures the development of intelligent buildings (IBs) and the establishment of automatic control systems in office buildings in the USA, Europe and Asia are analysed in the article. Based on the trends of the office buildings development, the main influencing factors of the automated control systems on the formation of intellectual and administrative buildings are identified and based on which a new vector of digital, dynamic and transformative architecture is selected.
