Coronavirus has greatly impacted various aspects of human life, including human psychology & human disposition. In this paper, we attempted to analyze the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on human health. We propose Human Disposition Analysis during COVID-19 using machine learning (HuDA_COVID), where factors such as age, employment, addiction, stress level are studied for human disposition analysis. A mass survey is conducted on individuals of various age groups, regions & professions, and the methodology achieved varied accuracy ranges of 87.5% to 98%. The study shows people are worried about lockdown, work & relationships. Furthermore, 23% of the respondents have not had any effect. 45% and 32% have had positive and negative effects, respectively. It is a novel study in human disposition analysis in COVID-19 where a novel weighted assignment indicating the health status is also proposed. HuDA_COVID clearly indicates a need for a methodical approach towards the human psychological needs to help the social organizations formulating holistic interventions for affected individuals.

Phytopharmaceuticals have been widely used globally since ancient times and acknowledged by healthcare professionals and patients for their superior therapeutic value and fewer side-effects compared to modern medicines. However, phytopharmaceuticals need a scientific and methodical approach to deliver their components and thereby improve patient compliance and treatment adherence. Dose reduction, improved bioavailability, receptor selective binding, and targeted delivery of phytopharmaceuticals can be likely achieved by molding them into specific nano-formulations. In recent decades, nanotechnology-based phytopharmaceuticals have emerged as potential therapeutic candidates for the treatment of various communicable and non-communicable diseases. Nanotechnology combined with phytopharmaceuticals broadens the therapeutic perspective and overcomes problems associated with plant medicine. The current review highlights the therapeutic application of various nano-phytopharmaceuticals in neurological, cardiovascular, pulmonary, and gastro-intestinal disorders. We conclude that nano-phytopharmaceuticals emerge as promising therapeutics for many pathological conditions with good compliance and higher acceptance.

The significantly changed conditions of the activity of trade-logistics enterprises place heavy demands on the accuracy of calculation and planning key indicators of competitive potential. The article formulates and solves a scientific problem, which consists in the absence of a unified approach, within which not only the strategic potential of an enterprise is assessed and key indicators of competitive potential are determined, but also a toolkit for calculating values of these indicators in the conditions of fuzzy input data is proposed. It is suggested to determine the key indicators of competitive potential based on the characteristics of the corporate profile that have the potential for temporary competitive advantages with the possibility of increasing their organization, as well as the key weaknesses of the organization. To calculate the values of the key indicators of competitive potential and their planning in the conditions of uncertainty, it is proposed to use fuzzy inference systems. The article presents the results of approbation of the developed methodological approach in a particular trade and logistics company.

Research in academic writing has shown that writers have a strong tendency to communicate their ideas interactively with readers. This study examines how professional writers use adjectives as part of interactional metadiscourse when writing research articles. A total of 255 research articles published in distinguished journals in the field of applied linguistics between 2015 and 2020 were systematically compiled and quantitatively and qualitatively analysed. The extent to which epistemic adjectives and typical phraseological patterns are used in research articles was investigated with the help of corpus linguistics methods, as was their epistemic strength indicated by writers. The interpersonal model of metadiscourse was used as the theoretical framework for the study. The findings suggest that the academic writing corpus, in essence, is interactionally oriented, while the use of adjectives as an epistemic modality reflects a methodical approach by article writers when presenting propositions and discussing their knowledge claims. This study provides a deeper understanding of these linguistic features to impact the reader. Pedagogically, the study can be useful for teaching academic writing to postgraduate students and help them and novice writers develop writing competency through epistemic devices, especially in research articles intended for publication.

The initial data when creating both geological and hydrodynamic reservoir models can lead to errors in the modeling results and the subsequent distortion of the economic assessment and prospects of an oil or gas field. In order to improve the predictive reliability of reservoir hydrodynamic models, a core material study for the Tula object of four fields at the Babkinskaya anticline was carried out. The ratio analysis of porosity (Kp), rock density () and permeability (Kperm) for sandstones and aleurolites was carried out. Using a statistical core sampling based on porosity, density and permeability parameters, a separation by sedimentation processes was carried out for all considered lithological differences. For aleurolite and sandstone, we could talk about the differentiation of characteristics in the process of reservoir properties formation. The values of the parameters Kp, and Kperm, determined from laboratory core studies, were combined into a single statistical sample for the possibility of developing a methodology that would be aimed at describing Kperm using the integrated laboratory studies, namely by adding rock to the analysis. As a result of statistical analysis, it was found that permeability in intervals with low reservoir properties was controlled with the same significance degree by both porosity and rock density for all lithological differences. At the same time, the presence of highly permeable reservoirs for sandstones and their practically absence for aleurolites were noted. For all lithological differences, relationships were established between the permeability coefficient not only with porosity, but also with rock density. The methodology for constructing statistical models for calculating permeability from the values of porosity and rock density was implemented separately for the fields of the eastern and western parts of the Babkinskaya anticline. The described approach to taking into account the influence of rock density on permeability made it possible to determine the differentiated influence of lithotypes on the filtration characteristics of the reservoir. When modeling a reservoir, it is necessary to move from linearity to nonlinearity and take into account that the problem of permeability distribution in the reservoir being solved is somewhat more complicated: in different areas, sometimes the permeability is not controlled by porosity in principle, but somewhere only this parameter prevails. The methodical approach was recommended for 3D modeling. Revealing the relationships between the parameters was most important when developing a methodology for tuning the model in the interwell space. The development of a reliable estimate of permeability for the vast majority of wells will significantly improve the efficiency of hydrodynamic modeling. At the same time, it is necessary to comprehensively take into account the identified relationships between the petrophysical characteristics of production layers. The use of the approach to the analysis of petrophysical characteristics will allow obtaining a more reliable and less subjective hydrodynamic model of the formation.

Abstract Drilling through some of the reactive shale formations in the western gas fields in the Sultanate of Oman has proven challenging and often troublesome. Frequently, time spent on backreaming would exceed the time required to drill the related hole sections. In addition, the carbonate Natih sequence has also proven problematic. High levels of vibrations are often encountered. Such drilling dysfunctions are known to be destructive to both bit and bottom hole assembly (BHA). Different mud systems, drive systems and reamer types were used in separate attempts to alleviate the faced dysfunctions to little avail. This paper illustrates a trial campaign introducing an alternative design stabilizer (ADS) and reamer (ADR) to the drilling BHA with the aim of addressing and resolving the aforementioned limiters. Based on a set of agreed-on key performance indicators (KPIs), and following a methodical approach, a 4-well trial was conducted in order to introduce a unique stabilizer-reamer design while simultaneously scrutinizing and optimizing the BHA configuration accordingly. Two of the candidate wells targeted the 17-1/2" section while the other 2 wells targeted the 12-1/4" sections. The main goals were to reduce the time spent on backreaming by 50% and minimize the experienced levels of vibrations in order to extend bit runs and reliability of the different BHA components. For further comparisons, the same approach was tested on a rotary BHA as well as a steerable motor BHA in the larger hole sections. Both 17-1/2" sections were each drilled in a single run similar to the second 12-1/4" section. The first 12-1/4" also proved smooth and required 2 runs due to bit hours, still noting a record section distance run for a single bit. All BHAs were optimized around the placement of the new design stab and reamer design combination. The optimized BHA configuration enabled pulling out of hole (POOH) on elevators for all 4 sections almost fully eliminating the hard backreaming experienced in past wells. In addition, it was also noted that in all cases the levels of vibrations were significantly reduced compared to what is typically experienced and recorded in the offset wells. This enabled a record setting bit run for that particular section and field. The authors detail the historical challenges encountered drilling such wells then present the applied benchmarking exercise and the adopted systematic approach to tackle those challenges. Following, the unique design characteristics of the deployed technology are highlighted and how this is applied in each of the runs in view of optimizing casing point to casing point section delivery times. Finally, the achieved results and gains are underlined together with a roadmap forward.

Study level/applicability The case can be used in undergraduate, graduate and executive education courses in entrepreneurship and strategic management. It is a perfect fit for executive sessions at incubation centers for not-for-profit (NPO) start-up social enterprises. The case is aimed at early-phase social entrepreneurs and those interested in the field. Case overview Anthill Creations (hereafter referred to as Anthill) is a NPO organization engaged in building low-cost sustainable playscapes for underprivileged children. Their mission is to “Bring Back play” in the lives of millions of children of marginalized communities by building sustainable playscapes. It is an effort that contributes toward the objectives of clause 1.2 (Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, 2020), on “Early Childhood Care and Education” (ECCE) in the new National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 of India as released on July 30, 2020. The ECCE clause emphasizes the importance of “learning through play”; and recognizes it to be central to quality early childhood pedagogy and education. Anthill has been working on the same philosophy since its inception in 2016. They have successfully built 300 playscapes across 18 states of the country and impacted the lives of more than 200,000 children. The playscapes are built using upcycled waste material, such as scrap tires, waste cable and oil drums; further, they use local resources and contextual designs and built them by mobilizing community participation. The playscape play elements provide for unstructured free play for children and encourage them to use their imagination to invent new games. Pooja Rai – the founder and CEO of Anthill Creations, an architect by discipline started the NPO immediately after her graduation. It was her “calling” in life that pushed her to quit a corporate job in the early stages of her career and instead pursue a career in the social sector. The case details her methodical approach in pursuing her intuitive response to a social need, the way she adopts a lean start-up framework to set-up Anthill, her frustrations, personal resilience and ability to balance different stakeholder interests as she treads the difficult journey of building the awareness of inculcating play as a pedagogy in the early years of childhood development. The case provides data on the large proportion of the marginalized population in India and the abysmal conditions of the Indian Government schools. The objectives of clause 1.2 on ECCE in NEP 2020 show the Indian Government’s good intent. And yet with the prevailing conditions, the policy’s ambitious target of universalization of ECCE by 2030 (Chanda, 2020), seems a mammoth task, even for the Indian Government. On the other hand, Anthill as a small NPO of young dedicated individuals is invested and experimental in their approach; they have a tested model but financial dependency limits their activities. The ECCE clause is a sign of new hope for NPOs such as Anthill who want to reach out to millions of Indian children from marginalized communities. What could be a compatible, perhaps complementary or even skillful pathway to integrate Anthill’s tested model of building sustainable playscapes with the Indian Government’s good intentions of universalization of ECCE by 2030? How could Anthill “scale” for a systemic “impact”? Should not the NPOs, early childhood development researchers, funders and government authorities study collaboratively instead of the present siloed approach so as to bring about a systemic change in the thinking lenses about “play” to be an integral part of early childhood development? Rai ponders on the above questions. Expected learning outcomes To explain the importance of one’s purpose (calling) in life and how the authors can identify with it. To explain how an intuitive response to social need can be complemented with a methodical approach to social entrepreneurship. Effusion fluid cytology has propensity for both false positives (in up to 0.5%) and false negatives (in up to 30%) results. Methodical approach from collection step to final interpretation stage could prevent both false positives and false negatives, if the interpreter is familiar with various factors responsible for diagnostic pitfalls in effusion fluid cytology. Abstract The article is devoted to the study of steppe landscapes functioning of the Karadag nature reserve for the period of 6 years (2014-2019). The article uses a methodical approach to the assessment of intraday states of weather conditions to diagnose the nature of the steppe landscapes functioning. As results of the steppe landscapes functioning during the whole year the categories “development”, “destruction” both prerequisites and results of landscapes’ functioning, “accumulation” of prerequisites of landscapes development, and also mixed categories are distinguished. In general, the considered territory in the period from 2014 to 2019 is characterized by 85 variations of weather types. Considering of the steppe landscapes functioning in separate seasons, it is noted that, relatively alternating among them, in the winter period dominate the process of functioning prerequisites accumulation of steppe landscapes, and the process of prerequisites and results destruction of steppe landscapes functioning. The accumulation process is noted as the main result of steppe landscapes functioning in the spring season. It is dominant and fluctuates within 62.8 % and 96/8 % of the total number of functioning processes in steppe landscapes. The main result of functioning revealed in the summer season is development. It accounts for 63.2% (in 2014) to 99.9% (in 2015) of the diagnostic signs exhibited in steppe landscapes. In the autumn season the destruction process prevails, in a complex with parallel processes of various results of the steppe landscapes functioning.
