The article analyzes the features of the production, use and utilization of biodegradable biopolymers. The results of studies are presented, the purpose of which is to assess the combination of properties of polylactide for use in construction. The fundamental possibility of using a thermoplastic biopolymer based on lactide (lactic acid) for the production of building materials is considered. Comparative data on the results of studies of the physical and mechanical properties of materials based on polylactide are presented.

The random character of mechanical properties of building materials reveals itself when construction structures are tested even though all prescribed technological standards and requirements are met. The paper presents software implementation of the algorithm the statistical straggling of the mechanical properties of materials in the design of structures. This algorithm is built into the software AnSysBuildingBlock (ASBB), developed by us, whose interface is presented here, and which can automatically generate the code for the settlement complex ANSYS. Consider an example in which the impact of scattering mortar mechanical properties on the stress-strained state of brick masonry and its structural destruction was investigated.

The present research considers the elaboration of an item of sports equipment – a stick for mas-wrestling. The paper describes the design process of this equipment taking into account physical and mechanical properties and material roughness, as well as sportsmen’s anthropometry parameters according to their weight category. A classification of sportsmen by anthropometry indicators was elaborated, that contains three groups and provides for age groups. The material to produce the equipment for mas-wrestling was chosen based on a comparative analysis of physical and mechanical properties of materials.
