One of the key reflective aspects of modern society is the application of information communication technologies. According to SEB Bank and the information and communication technology company TEO [1] more people aged 65 and over are discovering the Internet and smart technology services to manage finances, communicate and spend their leisure time. Technological development has a large group of supporters even among seniors; however, many older adults have no skills and neither the intention nor the possibility to use digital devices which are critical for successful functioning in society. Escape from technological innovations in no way makes life easier. Modern smartphones can make life more enjoyable for seniors and to benefit society. The aim of this paper is to investigate seniors' opinions about the importance of increasing competence in smartphone usage in their daily lives. The investigation was conducted in two stages: 2018 April and 2018 September/October. During stage two, groups were former of 10–12 seniors. During and after the training, the participants were interviewed in focus groups about their opinions. The study revealed that older people's interest in new technologies activates their participation in the learning process, promotes interest in innovations and creates conditions for wellbeing in society.

Change is omnipresent in modern society. Much of it relates to new technology and, in particular, to information, communication and management technology. To thrive, individuals and organisations must react appropriately to the challenges offered by such change. This opinion piece outlines the most recent phase of a continuing project exploring the use of information and communication technologies in the allied health professions. It focuses on the use of electronic patient records, or electronic care records as they have more recently become known. Such records form an important strand in the National Health Service's vast, ongoing National Programme for Information Technology (Granger 2003, NPfIT 2004). The piece concludes by outlining the steps that occupational therapists and occupational therapy services can take to ensure that they are well placed to participate in current and future electronic care records initiatives.

This article aims to analyze the concept of digital citizenship in the context of the information and Acknowledge society; additionally, to identify the scope and limits of new information communication technologies (ICT) for the real and full exercise of citizenship, particularly in the Peruvian context, and the role of education in the construction of digital citizenship. To this end, various sources, both national and international, related to the issue of digital citizenship were reviewed. The first finding is that new technologies have a profound impact on the ways in which people, especially young people, interact with each other, with institutions, as well as in their daily lives, creating possibilities for citizen participation and empowerment, and making visible groups and human rights which did not exist before. However, the limitations of participation in the network are also noted as they relate to the impacts of said participation on the expected transformations, as well as the need for cultural and regulatory changes, greater access to new technologies and, especially, education for the development of digital skills for the optimal and responsible exercise of digital citizenship.

AbstractModern society is fascinated by Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), physical laziness, isolation from nature, and a preference for staying indoors. Despite the general acceptance and understanding of the health benefits of recreation in the open air, a change is being seen in the recreational patterns of urban dwellers, as they spend less time outdoors. In order to counteract such behaviours, we can try to apply ICTs to enhance time spent outdoors. The performed study aimed to find uses of ICT solutions in designing public spaces in order to enhance and promote a healthy lifestyle. The selected examples show possible applications of ICT in promoting active recreation, e.g. mobile applications for sport activities, urban games in line with the idea of the Playable City, and urban furniture and outdoor hotspots enabling access to the Internet. The research findings proved that digitisation is not only a threat to a healthy lifestyle, but that it can also create opportunities to improve the quality of life.
