In the article the quality assessment method of the mechanical design of a Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicle is presented. Based on the research of the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle already in operation, the new design of a MRAP vehicle is evaluated in the context of the quality assessment of the designing process. The research assumption was the provision of safety, which was taken into consideration as the primary designing requirement. This principal focus includes the experimental research of shooting and explosions of an IED blowing charge. In the paper a new mechanical design method named the Design for Optimal Sigma is presented as an application of the new armour design.

In order to design a safety valve with a high safety factor, on the basis of theoretical calculations and ANSYS analysis, stress analysis is performed on the key components of the new nuclear A48 safety valve under open and closed conditions to detect whether the safety valve fails. The natural frequency of the safety valve and the spring are respectively analyzed and tested for seismic performance. The spring parameters are calculated through spring design specifications to determine the method of spring failure calculation and analysis. A lateral deflection measurement bench was built to verify the correctness of the design method through experimental data and provide a reliable theoretical basis for the design of safety valves with high safety factors.

Flat slabs in contemporary buildings are most commonly supported by rectangular cross-section columns. Research of slabs supported by rectangular cross-section columns for punching is rather narrow. The purpose of this work was the experimental research of slabs punching by rectangular cross-section columns and adjustment of their design method. Reinforced concrete slabs 6 cm in thickness without transverse reinforcement were used as testing specimens. During tests load on the slab was transferred using stamps. Side ratios for stamps varied from 1 to 5 in experiments. Strength and strain properties of concrete were determined before slabs testing for punching. Ultimate loads, that resulted in slab punching, were acquired from test results. Formulae for punching load are suggested for rectangular cross-section columns punching based on obtained results. Generalized analysis of experimental research results shows that slab strength for punching is also influenced by short side of rectangular cross-section to slab thickness ratio.

HIV / AIDS education needs to be done to active reproductive women such as housewives who are vulnerable populations. This research aimed to analyze differences in knowledge related to STIs and HIV / AIDS among Aisyiyah health cadres in North Banguntapan, Bantul Regency. This research is a pre-experimental research design method. The design of this research was one group pretest-posttest. The research sample was selected purposively as many as 31 respondents. This research produced information that there was a mean difference between prior and after knowledge about health education about STDs and HIV / AIDS with a significance value of 0.001 (p-value <0.05) and 95% CI of 0.466 - 1.728. Based on the results of the research it could be concluded that there was an increase of knowledge about STI and HIV / AIDS in Aisyiyah health cadres after getting health education.

The Conical Ring with Inner Steps (CRIS) is a typical profile ring, which is hard to be formed by ring rolling. Less-profile-filling and shrinking-drawing are the two main defects formed in the rolling process. Through the study of the rolling formability of CRIS with different ratio of height to diameter with the combination of FEM simulation method and experimental method, the main factors that affect the CRIS rolling formability are determined. The CRIS forging is designed. And the FEM simulation and experimental results show that the design method is reasonable.
