A sandwich structure consists of three main parts i.e. the facing skins, the core and the adhesive. It acts in a way similar to that of the I- Beam. In this research, a sandwich structure has been designed with a regular hexagon honey-comb core made up of Kevlar® and face sheet of carbon fiber. The design has been modelled and the model has also been validated with the experimental and analytical method. Six different configurations of sandwich structures have been proposed. Out of these six, three configurations have the varying cell size i.e. 3.2 mm, 4 mm and 4.8 mm and the other three configurations have the varying panel width i.e. 40 mm, 45 mm and 50 mm keeping rest of the design parameters unchanged. Using ANSYS, analysis has been performed for all these six configurations and equivalent stiffness has been calculated. It has been observed that the honeycomb core cell size does not have a significant effect on the stiffness properties of a composite sandwich panel. The analysis also reveals that with the increased panel width the stiffness of composite panel increases significantly.

The structure and construction of ships made of aluminum alloy, generally of the type of wrought aluminum alloy, when experiencing fatigue failure caused by cracking of the ship structure, is a serious problem. Judging from the ‘weaknesses’ of aluminum material for ships, this chapter will explain the use of alternative materials for ship building, namely aluminum-based composite material which is an aluminum alloy AlSi10Mg (b) ship building material based on the European Nation (EN) Aluminum Casting (AC) - 43,100, with silicon carbide (SiC) reinforcement which has been treated with an optimum composition of 15%, so that the composite material is written with EN AC-43100 (AlSi10Mg (b) + SiC * / 15p. Composite ship model using ANSYS (ANalysis SYStem) software to determine the distribution of stress. The overall result of the voltage distribution has a value that does not exceed the allowable stress (sigma 0.2) and has a factor of safety above the minimum allowable limit, so it is safe to use. The reduction in plate thickness on the EN AC-43100 (AlSi10Mg (b)) + SiC * /15p composite vessel is significant enough to reduce the ship’s weight, so it will increase the speed of the ship.

Abstract A compensation method for end position offset of underwater manipulator is presented in this paper. Firstly, the end deformation of the underwater manipulator is obtained by ANSYS analysis, and then the end position offset equation is obtained by MATLAB curve fitting. Finally, the equation is added to the kinematic model of the underwater manipulator, which improves the accuracy of the kinematic model of the underwater manipulator and lays a foundation for the accurate position control of the underwater manipulator.

Abstract The magazine is an important part of the aero-engine, its main role is to bear the load and mass inertia force generated by the engine in the work. The design and manufacturing level of the magazine is of great significance to improve the aero-engine’s quality. Engine magazine belongs to a thin-wall cylinder part with large size, complex shape and high processing precision. Due to its thin wall rigidity difference, the processing quality is easy to reduce caused by the vibration of machine tools and other processing system, and cannot meet the requirements. According to the absorption principle of TMD (Tuning Mass Damper), an auxiliary fixture is designed to transfer the magazine processing vibration energy to the auxiliary fixture to reduce the vibration of the processing system and to improve the processing quality. Through ANSYS analysis, the maximum vibration amplitude of the magazine was reduced by 60% by using this fixture. Therefore, the fixture can significantly reduce the vibration in the processing and have good effect on improving the quality of the processing. The auxiliary fixture has the advantages of simple installation, simple disassembly, and strong scalability.

Biofuel usage has good environmental and economic benefits but at the same time it has weak performance and fuel efficient when compared to usage jet fuel in aircraft similarly release of sulphur particles will end solar radiation. In additionally to these barriers, flame speed of biofuel is very low compared to jet fuel flame speed so a new task is arrived here that is flame stabilization in combustion chambers while using blended biofuel with jet fuel. Hence, we are analysing aircraft turbofan engine combustion chambers both by theoretical and analytical manner about its working when using blended biofuel. Using NASA CEA online software, the combustor data are gathered and are compared with analysis of designed combustor in ANSYS analysis software. The flame analysis is more important when using the blended biofuel in different ratio.

The effective sectional area concept was adopted to conduct the analysis of cold-formed Tension members. ANSYS software was utilized to simulate the behavior of cold formed steel angle under tension load. The paper describes the results from a finite element investigation into the load capacity tension members of single angle sections of 2mm and double angles sections of 2mm under plain (without Lipped) and with Lipped conditions subjected to tension. Comparisons were made between the test results and the predictions based on both the Experimental investigation and the ANSYS analysis. Results also comparisons were made by the International codes BIS, AISI, AS/NZS and BS.
