The aim of this work was to study the spatial partition dynamics of fish at artificial structures. Holed structured concrete blocks were used to construct eight identical artificial structures and disposed between 3m-6m depths. Installation was made in two steps during 1996 (May/June and November/December) and daily observations were carried out during 30 consecutive days SCUBA diving. The artificial reef areas were used in discriminated ways by the fish community and was most probably influenced by several factor, mainly biotic. The results of the Krustal-Wallis test led to the refutation of the hypothesis that the artificial structure spaces were shared and randomly used by fish.

This study examined the deformation problem of a plate system (formed side-by-side) composed of multi-structure plates. It obtained numerical approaches of the transmission conditions on the common border of plates that composed the system. Numerical examples were solved in different boundary and transmission conditions.

Budi Utomo, in this paper explain that offshore drilling carried out to obtain crude oil through the oil wells. The means that must exist in the operation of offshore drilling is a bridge structure (plate form) as a place to put the drilling equipment. Known two kinds of platforms, that is platforms permanent (fixed) which stands on the feet of reinforced concrete, and the bridge is not fixed like swamp barges, drilling ship (floaters) and jack-up rig. Jack up rig is one of the offshore rigs that have the ability to elevation in accordance with a sea depth of drilling. Drilling equipment is a range of equipment that is prepared in such a way, so that such a drill rod, and all this equipment has a hole inside that allows for fluid or mud circulation.   Key word: Drilling equipment

AbstractAntimicrobial coatings are typically tested for their activity and effectiveness based on an artificial procedure, the standard JIS Z 2801 (or ISO 22196). The test samples are contaminated with a predetermined concentration of bacteria and covered with a sterile film. Due to the artificial structure of this process, however, there is always the question of the validity in the practical application of these surfaces and how comparable this germ-reducing effect is to currently common disinfection measures. Therefore, we developed a more realistic test procedure in our laboratory. The test samples are inoculated and incubated at standard room conditions. To compare the antimicrobial activity to standard cleaning procedures also disinfection and wipe controls were performed. The results show that the antimicrobial test patterns we use have a strong efficacy. This could be shown reproducibly both with the standard method JIS Z 2801 as well as with our new test procedure.

This research analyses the organization, work processes and quality of the information produced by Narrativa Inteligencia Artificial, the only company in Spain that writes journalistic texts using the software known as Gabriele for distribution to various media. The study was conducted over a six month period using in-depth, semi-structured interviews with four company professionals with complementary profiles, as well as participant observation during the process of creating an automated news item, and an online questionnaire filled out by 145 journalists (N=145) to assess the quality of the texts produced. The results show that the start-up company fulfils the demands of different sectors such as communication media, and has been increasing the productivity of its content, although it still does not generate complex texts, as this is one of many human qualities that robots continue to lack.
