Budi Utomo, in this paper explain that offshore drilling carried out to obtain crude oil through the oil wells. The means that must exist in the operation of offshore drilling is a bridge structure (plate form) as a place to put the drilling equipment. Known two kinds of platforms, that is platforms permanent (fixed) which stands on the feet of reinforced concrete, and the bridge is not fixed like swamp barges, drilling ship (floaters) and jack-up rig. Jack up rig is one of the offshore rigs that have the ability to elevation in accordance with a sea depth of drilling. Drilling equipment is a range of equipment that is prepared in such a way, so that such a drill rod, and all this equipment has a hole inside that allows for fluid or mud circulation.   Key word: Drilling equipment

The origins of offshore drilling work and the development of structures used at sea are traced. Comparison of the various types illustrates the advantages and disadvantages of each. Tables show the numbers in operation, being built, and the apparent liability of each type to damage. Typical bore-hole structures are illustrated, the need for undersea well-heads explained and their development into a sea-bed completion is discussed. Much more research is necessary before this can be considered a practical proposition. The design of drilling barge equipment is compared with typical land rigs and the development of drilling equipment, including the sophisticated electric drive and turbo-drill, discussed. Rigs in various types of barge are compared. Fire precautions and other safety equipment are described. The problems associated with control by the driller lead to complications of motive power layout. The lecture describes in some detail the design of the semi-submersible drilling barge Sea Quest, illustrates the weight problems and their effect on floating stability and indicates the need for management decisions on the degree of resistance to damage. This is measured by the variable deck load of drilling equipment that can be held on board and the degree of weather deterioration that can be tolerated before disengaging the drill from the hole. The need for, and extent of, diving is discussed, with some comparison between diving vehicles. Weather too is an essential factor of work in the North Sea and both pre-surveys and day-to-day reporting are described.

General refurbishment of prestressed reinforced concrete bridge of Pavel Wonka in Pardubice was done in 2006. Within the preparation of refurbishment a full diagnostics of the structure was performed with the assistance of Klokner Institute, including diagnostics of longitudinal prestressed loose cables located in bridge boxes and the real condition of the corrosion was found. New inspection, including water-insulation system and condition of repaired concrete structures was held in 2015. Some of the findings and comparison of the condition before refurbishment and condition after about 10 years of operation are introduced in this article.

Abstract In the same sea area, with the increase of the number of operations, the situation of jack up offshore drilling platform carrying out secondary or multiple Jack-up leg embedment operations in the vicinity, or even in the same location will increase year by year. Therefore, the operation of jack up offshore drilling platform makes the sea area “step on the footprints” The problems become more and more frequent, and have a significant impact on the operation safety of offshore platforms. During the “footprint” process of jack-up drilling platform, the spudcan will slide transversely along the direction of Jack-up leg pits to varying degrees. If the sliding distance is too large, the leg or platform structure will be damaged. Based on the symmetrical structure of the three-leg jack-up offshore platform, the bow and the starboard spudcan are slided along x-axis at different angles, respectively. According to the critical bearing capacity of the platform legs, the critical distance of spudcans sliding is calculated. Finally, the relationship between the sliding distance of spudcan in different directions and RPD (Rack phase difference) is obtained by monitoring the RPD value of legs. It provides meaningful guidance for platform designers and operators.

This paper introduces the design of a reinforced concrete slant-legged rigid frame bridge built in a county town. The bridge shape and structural project were selected considering factors such as hydrology, environment, art expression and construction technology. The design software MIDAS Civil 2006 was applied to build the numerical model for analyzing the static and dynamic properties of the bridge structure. The results show that the loading performances of the bridge satisfy the specifications of current Chinese design codes. The bridge was constructed and had been operating since Oct. 2008. Now, it becomes a landscape of the county town.
