Pleistophora senegalensis. [Descriptions of Fungi and Bacteria].
Abstract A description is provided for Pleistophora senegalensis, the only microsporidian recorded from Sparus aurata, the gilt-head seabream, a North Atlantic fish of the order Perciformes. Some information on its morphology, dispersal and transmission and conservation status is given, along with details of its geographical distribution (Africa (Senegal)) and host (Sparus aurata).
