Vortex air curtain of plane wall fan drum can control the diffusion of air stripping dust effectively. In order to solve the high-concentration dust problem in fully mechanized excavation face, formation mechanism of vortex air curtain was analyzed. According to fluid mechanical control equations of gas phase flow, mathematical model was established to solve air migration law of vortex air curtain in fully mechanized excavation face. By using Simple algorithm based on collocated grid and fluent software, numerical simulation of air spatial migration law of closed-end dust control in fully mechanized excavation face was carried out. The simulation results show that vortex air curtain dust control system can form dust control fan drum along driving head to the front of the roadheader driver. According to the simulation results and actual conditions of working face field, vortex air curtain suction dust control system consisted of plane wall fan drum and exhausted dust purification device in fully mechanized excavation face was designed, and after it was applied in fully mechanized excavation face, the dust concentration decreased effectively in the working face field.

To prevent high concentration dust on whole-rock comprehensive mechanization driving face efficiently, air curtain dust drawing and purification system were developed. This system is consisted of two sections, air curtain dust drawing device and dust purification system device. It determines optimized parameters of air curtain drawing dust device by combining site actual conditions and has realized short distance 3d dust absorbing and random movement. After using the efficient dust control system for whole-rock comprehensive mechanization driving face on south main return way,the average dust-laying rate of total coal dust and respirable dust in manually operation department, respectively reach 91.6% and 90.5%.It shows that this system is a efficient means for dust control of whole-rock comprehensive mechanization driving face.

Constructs the pollution control system of fugitive dust for the first time, identifies the main influencing factors of the system, analyses the influence degree of the factors with AHP, proposes prevention is the main direction of fugitive dust control, and points out the control methods of fugitive dust must pay attention to the factors about human and management.

Most of the dust control models indicate the line-curtain air reaching the face is limited and does not extend. Lower air quantity at the face helps in containing and concentrating the dust close to the face where no occupations are present. Hence, effective use of hydraulic sprays and directing the face dust-laden air into the scrubber may improve dust control. In this paper, we put forward a field testing of the modified scrubber-modified continuous miner demonstrated significant improvements in visibility and dust and quartz reduction, as compared to what was achieved with the current scrubber-current continuous miner dust control system. This is unfavorable from methane dilution point of view but can be used to advantage for improved dust control.
