A Supramolecular Framework Structure of a Novel Heterometallic Sn–Zn Dinuclear Cluster Constructed by a Sulfur-Contained Complex Unit

The title complex, [(CH3)2NH2][Cr(C6H10NO4)2Cl]·H2O, was synthesized sonochemically. The complex anion consists of a chromium(II) ion ligated by two 3-carboxy-2-(dimethylamino)propanoate anions. They coordinate in a bidentate manner, with a carboxylate oxygen atom and the nitrogen atom cis to each other in the equatorial plane, while the apical position is occupied by a Cl− ion. Hence, the chromium(II) ion is five-coordinate with a quasi-ideal square-pyramidal geometry; τ5 parameter = 0.01. The complex crystallizes as a monohydrate and in the crystal, the water molecule and the dimethylammonium counter-ion link the complex cations via N—H...O, N—H...Cl, Owater—H...O, O—H...Owater and O—H...O hydrogen bonds, forming a supramolecular framework. There are also a number of C—H...O hydrogen bonds present that reinforce the framework structure. The crystal studied was refined as a racemic twin.

Background: Oleanolic Acid (OA) is a ubiquitous product of triterpenoid compounds. Due to its inexpensive availability, unique bioactivities, pharmacological effects and non-toxic properties, OA has attracted tremendous interest in the field of drug design and synthesis. Furthermore, many OA derivatives have been developed for ameliorating the poor water solubility and bioavailability. Objective: Over the past few decades, various modifications of the OA framework structure have led to the observation of enhancement in bioactivity. Herein, we focused on the synthesis and medicinal performance of OA derivatives modified on A-ring. Moreover, we clarified the relationship between structures and activities of OA derivatives with different functional groups in A-ring. The future application of OA in the field of drug design and development also was discussed and inferred. Conclusion: This review concluded the novel achievements that could add paramount information to the further study of OA-based drugs.

Abstract In this work, a new type of zinc(II) coordination polymer {[Zn(HIDC)(BBM)0.5]·H2O} n (Zn-CP) was synthesized using 4,5-imidazoledicarboxylic acid (H3IDC) and 2,2-(1,4-butanediyl)bis-1,3-benzimidazole (BBM) under hydrothermal conditions. Its structure has been characterized by infrared spectroscopy, elemental analysis and single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The Zn(II) ion is linked by the HIDC2− ligand to form a zigzag chain by chelating and bridging, and then linked by BBM to form a layered network structure. Adjacent layers are further connected by hydrogen bond interaction to form a 3-D supramolecular framework. The solid-state fluorescence performance of Zn-CP shows that compared with free H3IDC ligand, its fluorescence intensity is significantly enhanced.
