Conceptual understanding should have serious attention due to the low score of Physics subject on national examination in Palu. The difference between learning style and jigsaw strategy is able to combine abstract conceptualization and active experiment towards the conceptual understanding for students whose learning style is converger and diverger. The research design was quasi experiment. The sample is the eleventh class of Senior High School students in Palu that are chosen using cluster random sampling (multistage), that is, 167 students. The research instrument was Kolb’s Learning Style Inventory (KLSI) of conceptual understanding test on Physics (Tes Pemahaman Konsep Fisika or TPKF). The data was analyzed by using ANOVA, with the significant level is 5%. The result shows that: (1) cooperative learning strategy of jigsaw type has more benefits than direct learning strategy in conceptual understanding on Physics, (2) student group of which learning style was converger has higher conceptual understanding than that of which learning style was diverger, (3) there are interaction influence between learning strategy and learning style towards the conceptual understanding on Physics

This research aims to develop physics communication skill instruments based on local wisdom for Senior High School Students. The development step was adopted special research for non-test developed by Mardapi (2012). There are ten steps for developing an instrument, such as 1) arrange the specification of the instrument, 2) write the instrument, 3) determine the scale, 4) determine scoring system, 5) recheck the instrument, 6) do the pre-test 7) analyze the instrument, 8) make the final instrument,  9) do the measurement, and 10) analyze the result of the measurement. The communication skills are measured by verbal aspects use the observation sheet through the presentation. Meanwhile, the nonverbal aspect uses the portfolio. This instrument is validated by three experts in evaluation, physics, education, and three teachers of a senior high student. Communication skills consist of five indicators. This study is participated by 33 students of SMA IT Ihsanul Fikri. The content validity was analyzed with the V Aiken formula show that the overall coefficient of each item was valid with the validity coefficient ≥ 0.78. The instrument also reliable with coefficient G Relative ≥ 0.7.

The purposes of the research are to examine:  1) the effect of reading interests on senior high school students’ problem solving ability in Bekasi, Indonesia; 2) the effect of communication Skill towards senior high school students’ problem solving ability in Bekasi, Indonesia; 3) the effect of adversity quotient towards senior high school students’ problem solving ability in Bekasi, Indonesia;4) the effect of reading interests, communication skill, and adversity quotient towards senior high school students’ problem solving ability in Bekasi, Indonesia. The method used is quantitative. Afterward, the population of the research is thetenth grades of senior high school students inBekasi. The number of populations itself are488 students. Then, the sample is taken by random sampling using Slovin with 10% of error margin, thus the number obtained are 83 students. The data analyses used is correlation analyses, and multiple linear regression analyses. In determining the hypothesis, T and F test are used with 5 % alpha.  Hence, the results shows that there is no significant effectof reading interests towards senior high school students’ problem solving ability in Bekasi, meanwhile there is significant effect of communication skill and adversity quotient towards senior high school students’ problem solving ability in Bekasi.

The C3PDR Learning Model was designed to increase student creativity in science. This study aimed to determine the effect of C3PDR learning model on improving conceptual understanding and creative thinking skills of senior high school students on sound waves topic. This study used a Quasi-Experimental Method and One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample in this study was 32 students of the eleventh-grade student in the 2017/2018 academic year from one of senior high school in Samarinda, selected by purposive sampling. Data collection used Test Techniques. The instrument used Essay Questions. Essay questions indicators to determine the understanding of physics concepts were interpreting, clarifying, comparing, summarizing, and inferring. Essay questions indicators to determine students' creative thinking skills were Asking Questions, Guessing the Causes, Guessing the Cause of an Occurrence or Even, Improving product, and Supposing. Analysis of the data used is the N-Gain analysis and paired t-test. The results showed the C3PDR Learning Model influenced the increase of conceptual understanding and the creative thinking skills of senior high school students on sound waves topic. This is indicated by 1) N-Gain of conceptual understanding was 0,76 in the high category, 2) N-Gain of creative thinking skills was 0.51 in the moderate category, 3) A significant difference between students' conceptual understanding and 4) the students' creative thinking skills before and after the C3PDR Learning Model was applied, marked with p mode <0.05.

One of the most frequently observed explanations in misconceptions is conceptual understanding. This research aimed to determine the senior high school students’ conceptual understanding of Newton’s laws in outer space. The researchers assumed that the research results would be rich in variation by elaborating the item questions based on the precise step of Digital Story Conceptual Change-Oriented as a learning medium.  The researchers researched State Senior High School 5 Yogyakarta. The participants of this study consisted of 91 students. The applied instruments were fifteen two-tier multiple-choice items. The researchers also used a non-test instrument, namely an interview sheet. The researchers found related misconceptions in Newton’s law in outer space during the research. It was found that 30% of students experienced misconceptions. The results are important for the learning process that through identification, teachers could use strategy to explain the materials.
